    Default Blythe. Gunfighter?

So I picked up Blythe and Bull for my Drake tier, and I really like how they perform for the most part. Something was bothering me about Blythe though.
It was that she has gunfighter. Wouldn't make more sense for her to have point blank?

I feel like is a neat ability but point blank would really make Blythe shine, especially for the 4 points you spend on the two in a normal list.

Anyone else who has used Blythe and Bull feel the same?

Well it'd be an improvement. I usually keep Blythe further back and if she is heading into melee I'm charging and/or wanting to use takedown. This means I'm using the sword. Even when that isn't the case I don't always want the risk of missing and shooting a friendly. (There always seems to be one. I don't know why.)

Point blank would at least allow me to use the pistol a bit more often, but really, it's no big deal.

Yeah I understand that, I guess I just don't see a reason to ever use her gun in melee over her sword so it seems like a useless ability. I wonder if PP will ever go through and do a large scale errata or something that could possibly change some things like that.

That definitely would be nice. I hadn't thought of that before. Just one more tiny thing that could make them feel a little more worth the 4 points. I can make them work at small point levels but always just feel a little lacking. If only one more tiny thing were added to their utility.

I primarily run them in Drake's teir so 3 points is not bad at all for what they bring. For 4 points though I have a hard time justifying them in other lists and point blank would make a world of difference.

Well if for some reason you are not charging into melee, then the higher PWR of the gunfighter shot can be useful. Other than that I wish she had virtuoso.

Gunfighter seems to suggest that Blythe has some finesse. Point Blank in contrast, appears to be the preserve of less subtle types, like Pirates or the Rover LOL

Gunfighter does mean she can still fight on Saeryn's feat turn though. Virtuoso as well would be even better, but really I'm not that fussed. Bull does the damage in the unit, Blythe just adds the prey buff and any damage is incidental.

I think the easiest solution would be to give Blythe a handcannon. Boom, sorted. Now worth 4 points for the pair.

i agree, an aoe to help clear room to the prey. makes perfect sense.

We're getting a bit close to Bull and Jonne now.

Which is why I wouldn't give them an AOE. Blythe having a handcannon would give the pair a credible shooting capability.

@Mina: A Hand cannon is a POW 12, RNG 12 shot, not an AOE.
