Default Quick Question RE: 2 Player Box

    Hey all,

Long story short, bought a Menoth box (among other things) sometime around the release of MKII, lost Kreoss and the light jacks, but still have the Crusader. Ended up playing Trolls (as you can probably see from Avatar/Sig), but it looks like the local club will be doing a Journeyman League, so I am thinking about pulling the Menoth I do have back out; I am thinking about building toward a Thyra T4 list.

Here is the actual question - if I buy the Blood of Martyr's upgrade kit, will it work with the Crusader chassis in the two player box (or even normal box for that matter)? I will still have my old Crusader for the Battlebox requirements in the JM league, so I don't lose anything by going that way if it will work.

It should work. The plastic kits are all the same, they just come with different bits. Since the Crusader has both arms (it wouldn't work with the Vanquisher) you should be fine.

Is it the old metal crusader? The BoM kit will definitely work with the plastic Crusader since it's not different than the heavy kit (except for the lack of Templar and Vanquisher specific bits)

I assume the 2 player box, as that is the title of the thread.

Sorry, I was just a little unclear when I read this part:

    No worries though

I built it recently and I can say for a fact it will work with either metal or plastic. I magnetized mine so I can play the chasis as BOM, or a crusader, or a vanquisher or a Templar. I do a lot of green stuff work on my jacks so the fact he is BOM and has BOM flags on him and a BOM head really does not stand out, because there are so many bones and flames all over him. You need to be creative with the BOM weapons, the right hand is easy it magnetizes just like the mace and flail, on the hand, but the left hand needs to be worked on a bit, because it goes on the arm that usually holds the Templar shield. So you end up magnetizing the shield and the BOM sword. But it looks cool. I might be a little more skilled than the average player but I think it is doable by anyone.

I can field 6 crusaders, Two of them are just old metal crusaders, but all the others are multi use. I can only field up to three Templars or three Vanquisher, but I have never needed more than that.

Mostly I did it so I could field 5pt crusaders with eSevvy or Harby. Very fun lists btw.

    Good modeling.
In 2013 I have made a pledge to take time for myself and paint an hour every day. It takes me about 2 hours to paint a basic troopers so I made a point system to keep track of my goal. 2pts small base, 4 pts med base, 6 pts large base and bonus points for special figs. You should make your own pledge. Do 90 pts in 90 days, or even 30 points in 30 days. You can look here to see how I am doing, More flames and bones here!

All this time I've been waiting for the Reckoner/Castigator/Sanctifier kit because I thought BoM was a Reckoner chassis model. *facepalm*
It's not a question of win or lose, it's a question of whether or not you want to have friends afterwards.

It almost seems like he was supposed to be. In Thyra's theme force the only other jacks you can take besides BoM and lights are the Reckoner chassis models. But I love the way he looks.

I built my BoM from a 2player box Crusader. So yeah.

Funny thing, you can make the Upgrade kit Character Warjacks from the heavies in the 2 player starter.
