I attempted to make a light box for this, with mixed results. I still have a lot of models to paint, but felt like posting these. I'm not sure what else to say, so here's some models!

I think that pretty much covers everything, without doubles of too much

I really like those unfortunately I'm not sure if that really light colored grass works on the bases.

paint jobs look crisp and clean, but I am bias'ed towards a dullcoat and those are pretty shiny.
How'd you do the bases for your crocs with those little tree stumps?
I decided I wanted the gators shiny, because they're in swamps and therefore supposed to have a 'wet' look to them. I've been considering dull coating the mercs.
The bases are all Secret Weapon Blasted Wetlands bases, and I also used their Wetlands scenic kit for the foliage etc. Paint wise, primed black. Sand was Charadon Granite, the trees are Umbral Umber drybrushed with Menoth White Highlight. It was pretty simple overall. I also used Secret Weapon Resin Tree Stumps on a few of the bases (the one croak hunter, for example) but mostly used them as little accents instead of centerpieces. They mix in well, you can't really tell it's a separate piece added on.

I might re-based the mercs down the line, I haven't decided. Those bases were made out of cell foam-88, and came out decent...but not as great as I'd like.

which faction is more fun? gators or dwarves?
It's hard to say. When I first got into the game back in the days of MK I, I was in love with the Gatorman Posse. I always said if there was a whole faction of them, I'd play it. When MK II rolled around, I dropped my Skorne for the Dwarves (who I had also been toying around with the idea of playing since MK I). I played them exclusively for quite a long time, and then picked up the Gators once they were available. I tend to stick to one of the armies for a few months, then switch to the other. It helps keep things fresh (since both are somewhat limited on options on what you can take), and lets me try out new strategies and such. I'll play one army while I work on things for the other, and once its completed, switch them up.
Between the two, I'd say Gators are more straight forward and Dwarves have a few more sneaky tricks. But I haven't considered switching to a 'primary faction' for longer than a day. They just don't do it for me, I guess
