So..when are we getting a female warbeast?

Anyone notice in Hordes that all the warbeasts, except for Krea in Skorne, is a male or non gender specific?

I'd love to see a female dire troll with some big knockers out there. Maybe they can give her bonuses to slams as well.

But IIRC, Skorne Titans are usualy selected for their roles by gender - males are usualy Gladiators, and females Canoneers. But that was MK1 fluff.

Apparently my opponents already think we do! I play against two local guys who always call my Axer "she" or "her" (I guess chest armor looks like it's concealing some female parts?). And they aren't just trying to be funny - they glance at the model and say "I'm going to charge her" or "What's her armor again?"

I really would like that! Before Mulg I hoped that our character best were a Ancient female dire Troll. In fact I've seen a female Mauler conversion!

I think there is room to make some character female beast, ant that would mean no upgrade kit, that would be a win win.

I don't think putting armor on a warbeast is weird at all so although I don't really see a point in making it gender specific, I think it could be done modestly but still have obvious female attributes. Would there be feminine flavor/skills characteristics besides slam bonuses....that would bring depth to the game?

Hilga the dire Bouncer would be an interesting character. Could have a pose similar to Calandra's but in heavy armor with flail/shield and a little more 'crazy eye', mebbe. Trollish dreadlocks would also be interesting.

Still not for the idea, but could be a sweet 1-off.

I had an idea for a dire troll warbeast that was female. Was a support model that gave bonuses to other dires near her, for each other dire in that same area.

Something kind of like the other dires are trying to show off to gain her attention by seeing who is stronger.

Ignoring all the posiblities for cruditity (come on people, its not difficult), I'd really like to see a few more female beasts in any or all of the factions (I mean theres the Basilisk Krea and nothing else) . The idea of a female Dire Troll is awesome. They are mentioned in the background and the possiblities could be fantastic. Maybe even or next plastic kit ?

Mulg does talk about spreading his seed across the world and his children being the strongest. So it's not impossible, but seems unlikely to me...

I'm not sure that crudity should be taboo, and consistency in modesty should be upheld. I know, I know, tos. But I really don't think being crude is the same thing as being sexist, condescending, or degrading. I reserve modesty for senior and professional atmosphere's. But you have a my little pony picture for your avatar and FranzGerstein has... some other really weird ship. I mean, in a forum about a game that promotes everything from public intoxication to murdering other living beings with axes, swords, knives, fists, etc. it's a feels inappropriate to gush over a booby joke.

But I have to agree that I would also like to see a female dire troll. Garga, a ferociously protective female with several offspring (maybe even from different elemental Troll fathers, there's no way that with those appetites those Dire Trolls are monogomous). Matriarchal Character Warbeast Unit!

So I don't think Trolls are gettin any females. I don't think they have a Gender. They all look male, but hey Calandra also does.

This is untrue, All Troll species propogate in simliar fashion to humans.

The parts of them that get cut off grow into whelps only, and as far as I know only Full Blood and Dire Trolls cutoffs can make whelps. In addition whelps have very limited faculties, have a short life span and typically end up as food for a Full Blooded or Dire Troll.

Yeah, read the whelp fluff again. Whelps do not "grow up" into any sort of troll. They stay whelps for their short lives and never become even a pygmy troll, let alone a full blood.

I wasn't being precious over the booby joke, I was just hoping this thread would stay out of the gutter (which it has, so all good there.) After all this is the game where somone is equipped with a "Great Rack" as a weapon.

Not entirley where you're going with the Avatar comment. (Fransgerstiens Avatar is awesome - we need more Shakespeares with guns.)

I do like the idea of a Dire Troll Mum and her children rampaging about the board as a Heavy Warbeast Character unit.
