WARMACHINE/Hordes no more.
Crap. And I just bought an older Spriggan, figuring I shouldn't bother waiting...![]()
Um.....yeah, that Spriggan looks bad.
All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

Wasn't sure how I felt about them when we saw the blurry pictures from Lock n Load. Seeing them now, I like them. They look very clean and well designed, it really looks like the devastator could survive anything you threw at it. The only thing I'm iffy about is how the Spriggan looks like he's bending over too much, but I'm sure you can adjust the poses, especially since they are in plastic.
I'm a bit perplexed, looking at the spindly arms on the Spriggan. It's really pronounced when you look at the 360°. If I get the same impression when I hold them in my hands, I'll be magnetizing some upper arms from the first kit.
The shoulder gun on the spriggan and devastator look like junk.
Sooooo how are you supposed to magnetize the extra bits on the arm... and do you really need to magnetize the head also?
Cryx are tough guys. Tough guys wear pink.
Very nice, quite happy with them. I'm not totally sure it was worth waiting on the Spriggan, and I'll probably end up only magnetizing between Devastator/Demolisher and make an entirely separate Spriggan, but I like a lot of the little details. He looks far better proportioned, more like he's walking and less like he's taking a knee. I might try to see how he looks tilted back a bit though, as the lean feels a bit extreme. Lots of nice details though. Particularly fond of how the grenade launchers are now all pointed forward for one.
The Spriggan's upper arm really isn't an issue of being that much thinner, its just actually there. I never noticed before the plastic kit, but on the metal, his elbow almost just attaches directly to his shoulder.
Is there a good angle for those Khador warjacks? I think the Spriggan's left might be more flattering than it's right, judging from the 360's.
Love the closed up look.
I like 'em a lot. I think I agree with some of the concerns re: the spindly arms - I'd probably add a piece of brass rod or tubing in there between the other two arm connectors, just to add to that connection.
Must add that I REALLY like that the ones with the Bulldoze rule actually look like they could bulldoze.![]()

How does it see?
did they just errata in eyeless sight?
Demolisher guns look bit lame. need to be bigger.
nom nom nom
i don't like that the head is as hidden as much as it is but the more i look at the 360's the more i like all of them.
This is the first time I've looked at a plastic kit and been truly thankful I already had the metal versions. The Spriggan is a big misfire for me. The Demolisher and Devastator bother me less since I think you can more easily conceal the more bothersome aspects.
I love the devestator... damn great model.
So are they three separate boxes or a combo-plastic jack box? I think they are separate....
Just this thought on the "spindly arms"-- they're the same spindly arms that are on the metal Devastator kit when you model it opened. If anything, the metal Spriggan should have had them too.
I imagine it wouldn't take much at all to leave that piece out if it bothers you, though. It almost has to be a separate piece (like it was on the metal Devastator) so you can model the metal clamshell 'jacks in the closed position.
I love the look of all three. The Devastator and Demolisher have that "cowcatcher from Hell" thing going when they're closed, and the Spriggan looks like it's about to smack someone out of the way with that shield before going to town with the lance.

I like that the Devastator's shell looks like a snowplough, but the original was and always will be my favourite non-character 'jack, so the plastic version isn't an improvement to me. The Spriggan looks a lot better, the Demolisher looks great too, but the guns look a tad odd.
Honestly I think the paint jobs are what're throwing people the most. Seem a tad flat.
What makes you think I didn't? Let me copy and paste this very obtuse description that is up for interpretation.
SPECIAL NOTE: PIP 33073 contains the same Mk II stat cards as PIP 33026 and PIP 33039 as well as one completely new stat card for the Demolisher. The model in this box represents the same figures as PIP 33026 or PIP 33039 in the game. However, the model in PIP 33073 is a new sculpt and therefore looks different from the model found in PIP 33026 and PIP 33039. In addition, this model is plastic rather than metal. PIP 33026 and PIP 33039 will no longer be available from Privateer Press beginning October 1, 2012.
On the Warstore website, it is much more clear, with only 1 PIP #.
Khador: Decimator/Demolisher/Spriggan PLASTIC Heavy Warjack BOX ~ OCT
SKU :PIP 33073
MSRP: 34.99
OUR PRICE: $27.99
Glad we got them, Glad there plastic, Glad I get 3 warjacks cheaper than one old one, but sculpts were better on old ones and I will prob be getting old devastator while I can.
This is the first time I have liked the plastic kit less than the metal. I do agree that the paint job is throwing it off. Looks too cartoonish. Hopefully they will look better in person.
"You can't judge a book by it's cover, but having a cover usually doesn't hurt"
I like the new look better.
My only complaint is the should guns on the Demolisher look like something a space marine should be holding.
Otherwise I think they look good.
Hoping these look a lot better in person...
So rephrased that says: "This kit contains three stat cards, one of which is a new one." Like, for example, the old Devastator and Spriggan cards and the as yet unreleased Demolisher card. But if that wasn't enough to reassure you, look at the pip numbers of all three Warjacks: 33073. Three times the same number, ie three times the same product. It is a normal plastic kit with three build options. If they sold each kit separately, they'd have to assign each a different product number.
What the hell happened. You took 2 of the best looking jacks and....well...f*cked them up. The spriggan and the devastator are 2 of the jack we show people that comes to the store and are thinking about starting the game....That won't happen anymore.
Overall I like them, I little modding and I think I can get them to look just like their original art. And also make some modifications to the design overall. I will be fixing the spriggans upper arm (at least two pistons to fall in line with the older chassis and to make it appear like it would actually support that massive lance and shield), as well as adding the neck guard and chest plate back on. The Spriggan's sholder cannons are to long it seems, some designer got the bright idea to add little tubes underneath them, extending them from the base of the shoulder, making them appear really goofy.
Also, how the hell do these things even see what the heck is going on?
PIP33073 = this new plastic kit
PIP33026 = current metal Devastator (available until Oct 1, 2012)
PIP33039 = current metal Spriggan (available until Oct 1, 2012)
I'd agree it's a bit obtuse, but it is saying that PIP33073 includes the cards and represents the same figures as PIP33026 and PIP33039.

the closed up devastator looks like a gundam head
and I mean that in the best possible way. the khador plastics make me jealous!

This kit looks awesome.
I don't know what you guys on about. I think the new kit looks great!
Overall I like the look of them, but the guns on the Demolisher look too dinky to be capable of throwing out POW 15 AoE 4s, but then again it's almost identical to the art in Wrath.
I don't really mind the look of the plastic kit. The demolisher guns look a little odd how ever
Love the new models. The devastator looks like it's advancing on something rather than just standing around with its feet too close together to bulldoze a thing. The spriggan looks more like a jack now than the super deformed gundam look it had before. How do they see? I suppose they look up. He obviously looks up periodically to make sure he's on target. He keeps his head down to protect a vital area.
I own the metal versions of the Spriggan and Devastator, but this kit looks too cool to pass up. Plus, I think it's the only way to get the Demolisher.
Is that correct? Was a metal version of the Demolisher ever released?
