I don't like it. Maybe if they stacked 3 more levels of shoulder pads? No. Not even then.![]()
Where you want to put the head is where all the energy accumulates for the Starburst effect. House Shyeel arcanists strongly recommend against installing anything you want to keep in that region.![]()
He looks good. I like the proportions, it doesn't have those thunder thighs, and it's paint job gives it some depth unlike the typical Ret colour scheme.

I hate the double shoulder pads. If they aren't optional, I'll cut them off.
I thought it looked odd too, then the theory of the energy blast accumulating and coming out of that area was explained and I fell in love with it. I can't wait to field this and make the obligatory sound effects with it.
Holy s**t dat paintjob.
The sculpt is top notch as well. Imposing, fits well the usual Iosan design, there are lots of little things I like about it.
I think PP writers are sometimes a bit liberal with superlatives, but I do love the phrase "incomprehensibly powerful".
I got to see this model at comic con. Very cool sculpt, vastly superior to every single warjack in that faction... Retribution is the one faction that really did not benefit from plastic one bit, in my opinion.
I was a bit disappointed by the paintjob, however. While I do appreciate that somebody finally realized the squeaky clean white look really doesn't work, and while I agree that the model is amazing from a distance, up close the weathering really looks painted on rather than, well, weathered on. It's still very good for a tabletop model, but underwhelming for a studio piece, in my opinion.
