I made a scratch built Light box.......pretty easy to do actually, just 4 side, a back and lined the inside with a flat white laminate. I then drilled a hole into the top and mounted a 200W Daylight light bulb on a cheap light fixture. I didn't wire any switch or anything like that.....the most expensive thing was the laminate, and one of my local cabinet shops sold me a 2x2 piece for $15.......i think it cost a total of $30 (i had the bulb already, that may have been like $10-15 but i can't remember)

Takes decent pictures, i just need to improve my painting skill so that it'll be more worthy :P

    Here's a few examples

And take note, that these pictures are NOT photoshopped in any way (becuase i'm useless when it comes to that stuff) this is just a small adjustment on the camera +1 exposure, and the macro shot setting turned on.

Thanks. BTB, Hearing you say your painting isn't up to snuff makes me much more hesitant to post pics.

I just posted some pics and this is what I did. I set them on a sheet of white paper and propped up a piece of pasticard behind it. I set it up under the kitchen table light and then
put a desk lamp off to each side. My figs are table top quality at best, but I'm proud of them. If you are proud of what you have done I say post them.

I have a cheap lightbox I bought off of Amazon. It came with a couple of lights and a collapsible carry bag that expands into a 4 sided white box with 'umbrella' like material. It performs well enough but I think I'm going to build my own soon.

Here is an image of Mulg I shot with it. My camera + lens is pretty nice so I'm able to get more out of the cheap light box than I might otherwise.
