Chhoosing a 'Caster for an upcoming Assassination tournament?

i've got an 35 pt. Assassination tournament coming up on the 28/7 and really can't decide which 'Caster to take. At present i have p+eAsphyxious,pDenneghra, pGoreshade, p+eSkarre, Vennethrax, and the Witch Coven. With any luck Scaverous will be here in a week or two but i probably won't have time to get much practice in with him before the day. Normally pAsphyxious is my go to guy, but i used him in the last tournament i played in (didn't drop a game) and wanted something different. Not keen on pDenneghra's playstyle so would prefer not to use her. Both version of Skarre rely on losing health to use their Feat, which could be a problem due to the format, there are scenario's but assassinations will gain bonus pts and settle ties. The Witch Coven are good but are pretty fragile so i'm dubious about them. So that leaves Asphyxious (of either version), pGoreshade, and Vennethrax (who i really like but struggle with).
In terms of forces to choose from i have at least one of nearly everything, be it 'Jacks, Units, and Solo's which means that i can produce a fairly decent force, especially at 35pts. We have a ton of LoE players in my meta which makes some abilities like cloud effects virtually worthless except for damage.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to which will likely be the most useful 'Caster? Leaning towards Vennethrax because he can be hard to assassinate (and he's freaking cool) or sticking with what i know and taking pAsphyxious. Highly likely my list'll include min Banes+UA, BLT, the WSC, an Arc-Node and a Desecrator (which has so far worked great with the Banes due to it's Affinity). Strongly considering a Stalker for its Grievous Wounds ability, although highly unlikely to kill a 'Caster/'Lock outright robbing one of Tough, the ability to heal/be healed, or to transfer could well set up a kill for a harder hitting model.
Thoughts, suggestions and input greatly appreciated.

Terminus is also nice very hard to kill everything in his CMD tough and when the time comes he finidh the job

Yeah, i know but i don't have him, the budget won't stretch, and i'd be unlikely to get enough games in with him to be able to use him very effectively, but thanks for the suggestion.

Is it for a hardcore event, with just the one list ? If it is, I'd probably not want to take Venny, just in case you come up against Ret.
They can bypass your +2Arm spell, and camping 5-6 Focus a turn as well, and also.... ret is a pretty good assassination force.

Another reason I'm not sure about taking Scaverous to any hardcore, as he is very susecptable to the ranged assassination.

I'd probably look at something rather simple, yet versitile, like pSkarre.

She has it all. Assassination defence, being 16/15 + Focus, + Feat (on the crunch time turn)
Can deal with high def with Dark Guidance,
High Arm with her feat
Can even deal with Colossals with Backlash, and getting the assassination that way :P

My go- to caster for straight- up Assassination is pGaspy. No one in our faction does it better.

I've had some god exp doing assassinations with pDenny and two Scavengers. If you can get one point of dmg on the caster two of them will tear it up.

Wait, what? You have eGaspy and you want to take banes, BLT, WTC, ...

His feat is still the most common and easy caster kill you could ever dream of. Just make sure u have a unit of knights as well and you're golden.
Blood witches with Blood Hag do the same as the Stalker (ignore tough) and are a lot better in general.

Against LoE camp ahead and they can't touch you.
