They can have this wood. - As their grave.
Actually, that happened back in the original discussions. Most were convinced when the numbers were run against hard targets and it turned out that the spray did pitch in enough that they did fairly well, and most of the rest were converted likely the first time they put an assaulting Rat 8 Pow 14 spray on the table.
Yeah, I was bored with these guys too when I first read their rules. They're trucks. And they don't need much help in being awesome either. Fast, accurate, with a Spray to help clear infantry and heavy-duty melee weapons, they're a pretty great character unit. Bit pricey at 6 points, but worth it. If they get there. They're a bit squishy, but then, character units always are.

I remember some of the spoiled comparisons were to Khador's S-O-Bs the Great Bears (at their cost). That being the case, I still think these SOBs were shorted a bit without the Steady, or at least the Pathfinder. Two abilities the Fell Caller cannot ever provide to them...

The Son's ended up taking out 4 of the warmongers out, 3 of them with the spray (1 spray From assault, then eMaddy's Feat), sad note did take out 2 Kriel Warroirs that where tied up with them, hit to more but they toughed out.
After taking down the warmonger they ended up scaring my opponent to pulling back his carnivean because he was very leery about their damage out put and that if I needed I could toss Blood Fury on them if needed.
They didn't win the game for me but they have earned a very respectful spot in my list building when i want a fast hard hitting unit that doesn't need a lot of buffing.
I will say they go well with eMaddy because he can give them out pathfinder when they need, and give them an extra wave of attacks. I will say, RAT 6 spray POW 12 that can become a RAT 8 POW 14, when they go is going to be something not expected until they get more playtime in the public eye (Turnys and such).
