    Default Show me your Sanctuaries!

Please post pictures or suggestions for me to base my sanctuary off of. I'm not really the creative type, and I'm not really a fluff reader. I do know that the Skorne aren't really ones to worship, but they LOVE their country. Would I 120mm rock with a skorne flag stuck in it work? or is that tacky?

I don't have one yet (so no pic), but I was thinking an Ancestral shrine: a central obsidian altar flanked by AG's, with some cool looking weapons attached to various surfaces. I was also thinking a House banner, but I'm not sure which house, so I might just do the Extoller symbol from the Faction book.
I'm contributing to a Warmachine/Hordes blog. Here it is: 4+ Tough. I'm posting as pGrexy.

What's a Sanctuary? Some sort of league model?

Yes, I don't really keep up with league rules etc,. so I'm curious: what's a Sanctuary?

For the colossal book release you can earn points by doing things throughout the event like achievements, and the scenario being played involves a 120mm "sanctuary" and you get points for modeling your own and bringing it. I was thinking just a large obsidian obelisk with the extoller signs carved into it. I suck a modeling, so I'm trying to keep it simple

Take a CD for a base, shred some toilet paper into mulch with water and white glue, paint it brown to simulate mud (optional: stomp some beastly footprints into the mud), enclose it with fences made from coffee stirrers/twigs/whatever, and voila! An empty Titan pen as your sanctuary. You could even put an unused model (Cannoneer? Rhinodon?) in it for verisimilitude.
