    Is there a mangler in there on Magnus that you forgot to add?

    I am wondering since I added the list up and was able to fit a Mangler and a Nomad on Shaw. For the Mangler on Magnus, Having a heavy hitter is never a bad thing in my opinion.

    As far as Shaw goes...my personal pick would be the Nomad, as spending 8 points for him to Marshal seems a bit much. The Nomad is just a good all around melee beat-stick jack', and having a melee jack will get more use out of the Flank with Shaw.

    That's really all the advice I can give, hopefully some more experienced players can offer more or better insight...but hopefully I helped a little

    Every list needs at least one melee beat stick. The Nomad is the purest beatstick there is, while the Rover is slightly more durable and versatile. I'd personally go with the Nomad myself, since it's very efficient, and you generally don't want to marshal expensive jacks.

    As far as the list goes in general, you're very solo heavy. You have a lot of 2 point single models, and you'd probably be better server by dropping some of them for a unit of Steelhead Halberdiers. They're a staple unit for mercs, and you'll continue to use them as you expand your army. They're only 6 points for the full unit, and that money bodies will add more durability, power, and flexibility to your force. I'd probably drop Blythe and Bull for them, along with one of your other solos or character units. Nyss Hunters are another faction staple, and for good reason, but they're 10 points so you'd have to make bigger changes to the list.

    I see no infantry in your list and I think you should at least take one unit ( I am playing 2 at least but I like infantry lists :P ). I would leave Ayana and Holt and Danon and Blyth out for a unit of either Kayazzy's or Forgeguard.
    In a 35 pts list, you can also go for 1 Renegade, maybe switch it for another Nomad or Freebooter.

    Magnus has two feats. One of which is the Renegade Rocket onslaught. I would never play him without them. They put a constant threat out to the opponents casters until they've shot their rocket or they've been wrecked. And even without their rockets, they're not bad. They at least provide arc nodes which makes Mags spell list reasonable and even provides some uses for his backstrike ability through the arc.

    Forge Guard would be nice but cant be in a list with Magnus. However I definetely agree with John of Arc, a bit to many solos. I would drop Herne and Jonne, Rutger, Blythe and Bull and go for some infantry. Stealhead Halbs are always a good choice but Kayazy almost always are going to shine. U shouldnt change your list completely, if thats what u really like, but you should look at something that can get up in the mix and hold it down.

    I don't know if this counts as thread res, but I saw the post when I posted my list, and I thought about it some. Here's what I came up with

    Magnus the Warlord
    * 2x Renegade
    Rorsh
    * Brine
    Wrong Eye
    * Snapjaw
    Gorman Di Wulfe, Rogue Alchemist
    Herne & Jonne
    Lady Aiyana & Master Holt
    Master Gunner Dougal MacNaile

    It looks like you like pairs, so I thought the lesser warlocks would be good for you especially since calamity and feat work well with them.

    I don't think Rutger is worth it without Taryn. I like them with a buc in highborn.

    Blythe and Bull are pretty awful at 4 points. The only place I would play them is in the Macbsin tier at 3 points.

    Artillerist and 2 inches of range from dougal are invaluable. If you want to use your heavy jack kit, make it a rover or nomad to bond to mags so you can assign it 4 focus. Take out R&B. Reinholdt is a great 1 point option for eMafs for Lucky Charm and reload.
