First off, loved it for the most part. Seeing people we haven't heard from for years (I think the last Skarre appearance was at the start of Superiority? Same for the Coven?) was great. And I loved all the bits between Denny and Gaspy's epic mustache twirling reveal at the end. But....

Oh come on!

Siege shows up for a page where Triumph (HA?) and Havoc are both destroyed, he's injured and he gets kidnapped by the Butcher. All without uttering a line. Ossrum has now had more lines in the fluff! Although Siege had had I think one until legends. Which was 'Fire.'. Maybe he's just terse.

Haley can control jacks, barely walk and can't use magic. Kraye gets *****slapped twenty feet by Nightmare and is heavily injured, Stryker gets the same from a Kraken, Connie's injured and Rowdy and the Thunderhead are both damaged. Oh, and Point Bourne is dead. D.E.D dead. Everyone Dave. Captain Holister. Todhunter. Selby. Petersen. Chen. Even Rimmer. They're all dead Dave, everyone is dead.

For Khador Karchev is still captured aaaaand..... Zerkova gets beat up and runs from Vyross.

Speaking of Vyross, him and Ossy get hurt a fair bit! And Vyross loses his sword! And then they're back in Ios and fine and Vyross has a new sword.

For Cryx, denny takes a POW 10 and nightmare gets squished. But that's fine, they're winning this book after all.

And the worst thing that happens to a Menite or Merc seems to be Vlad wanting to talk to Severius. That's about it.

I mean for pete's sake. Even when it's Khador and Cygnar against Cryx for some reason it's still Cygnar that gets it bad while Khador gets off pretty freaking light by comparison!

Yup. And did it in style. Gaspy was cool as **** this book. It was epic.

It just bugs me that of the two factions that went out to face him, one lost. And the other lost and got most of its warcasters badly injured and most of its character jacks badly damaged...... :/ I mean Sorcha couldn't have taken a hit in there maybe? Irusk? The behemoth?

Oh, and stormknights. Still not fearless.

Yeah, I'd have liked a bit more success from the Alliance. Stormwalls looked pretty good, poisoned Haley actually scared Denny (probably becuase Denny sees souls and magical signatures as much as light. Haley is barely recognisable there). I'd have liked Stryker to kill a Kraken. No complaints with Nemo3's weather manipulation, and a nice entrance from Darius.

The Butcher may have lost Khador/Cygnar that battle. It might have been a little easier if he'd turned up, with Siege, and another combined force.

But nooooo..... Khadorans not shooting Cygnar on sight = Traitors = kill them all, ask questions later. Seriously, the guy needs a little metal box. Or possibly an assignment to invade the orgoth lands. He must be the only person on Immoren who sleeps better when near Doom Reavers and Fenris.

As mentioned it's been a while since Cryx did something decisive and impressive. I look forwards to them falling apart into back-biting treachery next book.

I think he may be in trouble with irusk and the queen, having him and siege in that fight may have made a difference.

I whole heartedly agree which is why, as I said, he may go epic again as a result of his actions similar to the way that Irusk was promoted after his failure, this may be some degree of sanity restoration for Butcher.

they usually start with a campaign to show that they're badass.. then they get pummeled/ambushed/captured/injured. Cue recovery and rebuilding montage (with inspiring soundtrack). End with a huge comeback and destroy the enemy.... or end up like Steven Segal in Executive Decision: fat, balding and dead.

Seige will go epic. Losing havoc is a big clue. It means his old caster version is completely out of date and now not usable.

I hope Haley will recover rather than go epic (or recover and go epic) - a warcaster with no magic will be somewhat lacklustre. They may give her special rules instead of spells - I want her to recover though.

I hope Triumph will go epic and be replaced by a Triumph with an Affinity Rule for Seige (or even eSeige comes with an eTriumph).

I suspect Constance, Kraye and Stryker will just recover - just like Darius lost his ear wasn't heard of for a while then turned up not any better than before.

Cygnar getting sucker punched by the Alliance is a bit lame - it's basically Khador didn't stick to it, Cygnar did - we come out as the underdog again - oh also we're only in the war at all to help Llael; our long time allies are now either Umbrean or Menite.

Fair enough on Umbray - this was always going to happen. I look Forward to Umbray becoming it's own country in the future and allying with Llael, Cygnar and Khador while being neutral (taking EEEVlad and EESorcha with it - also forcing the Old Witch to go Epic in response to Vlad leaving).

Really though Leryn falling to the Menites is just terrible - they walked past Cygnar (And the Skorne and Ios) all the way up to Leryn where they essentially walked in and now want to repress Llael as well - it's like that country can't get a break; of any kind.

If Siege going epic means he gets a new sculpt = 100% happy for me as he is the only Cygnar caster I own and NEVER play. He is also the only Cygnar caster that I could not convert into something I like......... and that's hard to do for me!

I can't see PP doing this - but it's a brilliant idea for a new Character solo that could give some of Haley's unique abilities to Cygnar as a faction instead of relying on her to be our goto competitive warcaster.

I love this idea so much. I hope someone at PP reads it before the Haley3 is designed so we can get Solo Haley first - it would fit the current fluff perfectly.

I found that brilliant to be honest. I also got the impression that she can allocate focus (And camp) but the second she attempts to spell cast it all goes bad for her. Hence why she leant Thorn to Nemo, Thorn only really excels when arcing spells, without that, a Firefly is almost as good.

actually, I think PP can make this happen as part of those journeyman/scenario leagues where Khador players got their Black Dragon IFPs. at least PP can test Haley as a solo (at most a Jr Warcaster) without committing resources (model molds, cards and game repercussions).

And then, if the Haley solo proved to be popular (and not broken), maybe they can release it as a eHaley 2.5 before making her a 3Haley in large base (perhaps a Darius-type armor with Arcane Manipulator/channeler that would help her "regain" her warcaster abilities).

That or we'll get a Haley that can spend HP to pay for spells instead of Focus (so she has focus for jacks and camping - hp for living and magic).

Combined with some new Morrow themed units like a character Battle Chaplain (or a normal Battle Chaplain solo) or else some order of illumination themed solos - maybe a unique UA for her that helps to heal her/combat the cost.

That's also a cool idea but not as cool as the Haley just as a solo. (I do expect some kind of Battle Chaplain soon though - they already have a model in the IK range after all).

I don't think or want Haley to be the large base caster if/when Cygnar gets one - it doesn't fit her at all, and giving her super armour to let her cast sounds awful. (Though Epic Karchev will almost certainty be a colossal)

but you know, secretly I'm hoping for Haley to learn some Cryx spells... perhaps the poison gave her some cryx acrane energy... this could tie in to the spend health to cast spell mechanic. So say, she cast's Parasite, Haley spends 2 HP (Haley would be 8 HP - just like Heavy Infantry troopers) and she'll need a "pet" that can heal her after.

The Butcher deliberately killed a Khador Warcaster and most of the Khador forces there when he captured Siege.

Khador got hurt pretty bad too, but they only had 2 names in that fight and remember people care about names, not the hundreds of Winterguard that Gaspy has probably absorbed. But they are in the same boat as Cygnar.

Vlad looks to be up to something major with Severius. It will be interesting to see what happens after Starscream's failure in Wrath.

Things still look fractured for Cryx. While they are triumphant, Gaspy defied Terminus and could have wrecked the Witch Coven. Goreshade is completely off the farm. Denny seems more bound to Haley than she does to Gaspy now.
