Default Planning 100pt Bladur1 Theme List

So, I'm looking at getting a CoO army and have decided on Baldur1. Whenever I look at getting an army for a new faction, I plan a 100pt army for when I want to invest more into the army, and then use units from it to make smaller armies. Here is the list I'm looking at to start:

    Baldur1
    - Megalith
    - Woldguardian
    - Woldwarden
    - Woldwrath
    - Woldwrath
    Druids
    - Overseer
    Druids
    Sentry Stone
    Shifting Stones
    - Stone Keeper
    Shifting Stones
    2x Stoneward a 5 Woldstalkers
    2x Blackclad Wayfarer
    Druid Wilder

Nice one, except that you double a lot of things you will not need for any smaller list.
And you use a lot of things you almost only need for Baldur. I think your startegy for starting a new faction does not work for Baldur, especially for themed Baldur.

I don't mind if it's only for Baldur, as I doubt I will foray into another caster anytime soon. Whenever I do, it will almost certainly be Kaya.

So, you're saying it's nice for a 100pt list, but I wouldn't be able to make good 15, 35, 50, 75 point lists with these models?

You will be able to make good smaller lists with these models, but to be honest some of the units are a little unnecessary. You are unlikely to want 2 units of Druids, for example. If you want to acquire a thorough collection of models for Baldur's Theme, I would suggest that you start by collecting all of the models/units that meet his Tier requirements (i.e. Baldur, Shifting Stones, Sentry Stone, 2x Wold Stalkers, Megalith, some additional Wolds), then expand to one of everything eligible for the Theme list, and then maybe begin to purchase duplicates of models/units you particularly like (Shifting Stones would be a prime candidate).

I'm not going to buy all of this right off the bat. I still plan to acquire them a few at a time; probably starting with a 15 or 35 point army. I would still do like you said; start with singles of some units and move up from there.

Also, with regard to the Druids, I thought an extra squad of Druids might be worth it because of the Woldwrath and his animus pumping Magical Attacks, though I'd gladly drop some troops for more Constructs, if that were to make a better army.

Honestly, I'm not sure what others are saying. That's the typical Baldur1 50-point list with +1 Blackclad, +1 unit of Druids and +2 Woldwrath. That's not including that much overlap. 2 units of Druids are required for 3 of our theme forces, 2 blackclads are definitely worth owning and Woldwrath is awesome. The list looks fine to me. Also, the 2 units of Shifting Stones are absolutely something you'll want to own, and I consider 2 of them auto-include at 50 points for Baldur.
