Wondering if anyone has actually run something like this.
I think it would be an interesting second list to my standard Scaverous list, and might force people into choosing certain lists, and may put list control in my favour.
The Desecrator is not to bad for fending off some infantry, and of course, is getting a free focus EVERY turn, as its going to be difficult to not activate within 3" of a bane.

But yeah, the list is simple... designed to grind out a win, slowly but surely.

Any thoughts on a list like this ?

Not designed for funzies..

Its designed as a second list, for a 50pt (highly) competitive tournament, to go along side my Scaverous list.

I'll admit, when you drop 44 Banes on the board, which you know are going to be coming back, that's going to be a little dounting.
But as said, I think it might give me match-up control. People will be forced into taking certain lists, that "may" be able to deal with that much infantry.

I was simply wondering if anyone has played something similiar ?

I might proxy it for a practice game in a few days...

The list should work, maybe dropping some bane knights for a skarlock and an arc node, that or drop the bane thralls down to min + ua. I run 2 heavies and only one unit of knights and it certainly works so more can only be better right?

Heh, I ran a very similar list at a tournament a few months ago. I downgraded the thralls to min units for pistol wraiths and used a leviathan instead of a desecrator. Was good times and worked pretty well.

I say try it out.
As Drakor said, getting a skarlock in there will be nice.

But yeah, out side of Old with / Harby, I can't really see too many "bad" match ups for it either.

Anything that gave you trouble ?

I'd say High def (kayazy / Iron flesh WGI) but my secondary list (scaverous) is custom built to beat Khador, as there is 4-5+ in our meta.
(Tournament on the weekend, played Legion, Khador, Khador, Menoth.... story of my meta :S )

I was lucky and didn't run into Khador. At least you can hex blast off iron flesh (unless its kayazy). The biggest problem I had was Bethayne. If I remember correctly, my leviathan shot her to death. Aside from her and lists that spam chain lightening, I think most would have trouble getting through that many banes (twice).
