Default where to start with gators? (15pt F&c.)

Im looking to get gators as a secondary force and have done most of the reasearch to know I wanna play Bloody B. But I dont know the point values for the beasts. I was thinking a Bullsnapper, and 2 Wrastlers. Would this be a good foundation to start? Could only find tactics not a buyers guide thanks for the help.

Well, technically the battle box is a wrastler and a spitter so that is a good place to start with him, though you can do a snapper, a wrastler and a unit of gatormen too.

It's hard to go wrong with a start of Barnabas, Wrastler, Spitter, and Snapper.

Well I know the the BWCP is very...compact? So im not too worried about milage overall. I jumped into khador and sorta got bit in the backside (Im happy with them tho) so im kinda weary is all. Im not looking for what wins or anything just something that will last me a while till i wana buy grave walker, or dreadbound. What would you reccomend as a solid full points used force for gators useing barny? 15 points not just beasts.

At 15 points you could go Wrastler, Snapper, and a max unit of Gators if you wanted to have more than just beasts in your list. And gators are such an awesome infantry unit.

Going to be hard pressed with fury if you lose a beast that way though. Better to go with the two heavies. Get the gators for higher points. Plus, you'll be ready to start a journeyman league.

It's a tough choice. You don't want to be short on fury, but Barnabas putting Iron Flesh on the posse is a strong contender. But none of the models suggested so far are anything other than solid. Two wrastlers is a little redundant, but I've had better luck gator-tossing when I bring two.

Hm... what is your first faction? If you play WARMACHINE, then go for at least 3 beasts, you'll need them because the fury-mechanic is troublesome for WARMACHINE-Players for the first while. Then Wrastler, Spitter & Bull Snapper, take a Feralgeist or Swamp Gobber for the last point.
Barnabas loves Spitters, since they help a lot with Warpath and delivers a ranged option, for someone sitting in swamp pits this is pretty useful, even at advancing.

If you got experience in HORDES, you already know how to take care of your beasts, then take a Wrastler, the Bull Snapper and a full Posse, in most cases you'll be able to engage the opponent with your Posse, Iron Flesh them afterwards and then you can look, how you can utilize the Wrastler best. It's less likely that you'll lose a precious beast because your inexperience and you won't suffer from the change of distance between the warlock and the front (since warlocks tend to be nearer the frontline than warcasters).
"Throwing Farrow Brigands into a nasty infantry is not a sacrifice, but rather providing your opponent with bacon."

"Some idiot said, Barnabas will never ascend to godhood. After the battle, the same idiot stared at him and wimmered: Oh my god!"

Well I primarily play khadors butcher (p & e ver.) So im used to being more aggresive/front lineish. I already played everblight but sold what I had because they were too plug and play. I chose gators because I wanted scary monsters and none of the other factions for Hoards matched that. Gators also looked fun to play. Im not the best player but Im aware of placement importance via khador. And I primarily played pLilith with 4 shredders and a carnivine. With her 5FURY it was challengeing but I did learn the mechanic. But good point I will probably go snapper, wrastler, spitter, and a posse for now. How manny posse are in a box btw?

The new boxes come with a full group of five. The old packaging has three and then you had to buy two additional singles.
