    Default Warlock spell you would most like to see in Circle

    With the Woldwrath coming, any attack spell's stock is going to go way up especially anything with a crit effect.

    However, the spell I would most like to see on a warlock's list is Fog of War. Stealthed Stalkers, Groves, Morraig wherever they want to be, camouflaged druids and reeves and naturally high DEF on most everything else. It's powerful to be sure, but not really any more so than some of the toys the other factions are playing with, and it fits Circle very well. Perhaps balance it by having it on a low FURY 6 or even our first FURY 5 warlock.

    Defenders Ward or Iron Flesh. Iron Flesh Bloodtrackers with a Witch Doctor granting tough would be great. Defenders Ward for, well anything from units to Warbeasts.

    Since we're getting Tharn archers, I'm hoping for Snipe. The Fulcrum and Bloodtrackers would love it too. Or hell, give us a spear-throwing Satyr or rock-lobbing Gorax cousin with Far Strike, so the Woldwrath can join in

    If I recall correctly, prowl says "while within terrain that provides concealment." Fog of War doesn't actually make a cloud effect, and so doesn't create terrain, which means no Prowl granted Stealth. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.


    I'd like to see Defenders Ward or Iron Flesh. I want a Def buff for Infantry. Preferably DW because it works on Beasts and buffs their ARM.

    I think Crippling Grasp would be pimp in faction. Seems in Morvahna's general feel. Really like the Fog of War idea. That would've been so perfect on Grayle in place of Awareness.

    Sure foot would make our warpwolves pretty hilarious, DEF 16 heavies would awesome

    Refuge combines with Lightning Strike would be pretty bonkers also.

    I think eMorvhana should get the warbeast version of Watcher, would fit her style (similar to harrow) and putting it on a woldguardian nets you a boosted MAT 6 that automatically nocks its target down

    Those a just a few of the more unique ones ive thought of.

    That's a common mistake people make when trying to recall prowl from memory. Prowl triggers from terrain that provides concealment, the AOE of a cloud effect, and the AOE of a spell that provides concealment. Fog of War is a spell with AOE "Control," so a caster with FOW would indeed give Warpwolf Stalkers warped for Prowl Stealth.

    Fun fact: Fog of War affects all models, not just friendly models. If your opponent with Fog of war forgets to drop it when their caster moves up and Warpwolves are in their control, Stalkers warped for Prowl would inadvertently gain Stealth.

    Having played Who's the Boss recently, couple that come to mind:

    Assail is a pretty sweet spell I discovered. It's effectively upkeepable Bounding, which is funny with Gnarlhorns themselves. And free charges never hurt either.

    Hex Blast would be really helpful for our faction in general, I think.

    I would always like Blazing Effigy for a fire-themed warlock. I actually wouldn't mind a fire based warlock in general.

    And I'm very much in the camp that thinks that Fog of War would of always been better for Grayle than Awareness every would have.

    And stuff.

    Hell, Blur would be nice for Ravagers. I feel a lot of what hurts them is death by gunfire on the entry, more and more.

    In addition to several of the above, I want Playing God for the Woldguardian and some kind of unit buff (Deadeye/Snipe/Bloodlust). Inhospitable Ground also seems somewhat Circle-like.

    I wanna see rather some animus... Like Rage for our wolds and also Spiny Growth for our Furries...

    First; what I don't want is things that necessarily fill holes. I do not like the idea of all the factions gaining things that other factions have. I think each faction has a flavour and that flavour is built around what they don't have. I want to see faction style move further apart not closer together.

    Saying that; what I would like to see is:
    * another animus the wilder can use
    * a spell that supports ranged combat, the Circle version of shatterstorm?
    * Perhaps some of the spells we lost in Mk1 back that build on what Circle is.
    * Another elemental caster, we have earth and air. Fire is too Menoth and you could say Moshar is heat and desert. How about water?

    I'm less curious about what random spell a Circle warlock could get and more concerned as to what spell list eMorvahna is going to get.

    Due to her status as one of our more unique casters, I'm really not sure how/where she would go with her spell list. Harvest I can easily see being modified into an integral rule, as opposed to a spell. The key thing is what will happen with Regrowth. I can't see her keeping that exact spell, as that's more her normal version's main schtick. She's going to be on her goat, so large base size... she'd better keep sacrificial pawn, plus possibly have a spell to help protect her from ranged (as noted earlier in the thread, Fog of War would be pretty awesome).

    Still though, whatever the case may be, I still see her keeping her status as a spell-slinging infantry caster - preferably one that keeps her ability to play her own strange style of attrition.

    Star-Crossed would be silly good for Circle - it's already good for Trollbloods, given our high DEF it'd be very (probably too) powerful. Admonition is something I've wanted for Circle for a very long time.

    Martyrdom (or a spell version of it) would be somewhat interesting, especially with Circle's innate healing ability. Respawn would be kinda fun, but getting warbeasts back seems more Legion's schtick.

    I dunno. There's a lot of spells that'd be great for Circle to have, the problem is understanding which ones are actually ones that we could realistically get.

    The old Vigilance animus as a spell (or heck, as an animus again) would be... nice. *understatement* Anything that would, say, give a Wold Guardian an out-of-activation move/attack (like Dark Sentinel) would be pretty awesome.

    --

    With the advent of the Woldwrath, any battlegroup buff spell would be nice, as those get around the Spell Ward. Circle would love something like a battlegroup wide +STR or +ARM spell.

    Well, I'm pretty sure our next lock is going to be one that supports the Woldwrath and is good against others.

    All the Warmachine casters seem to get Hex Blast and Force Bolt. I'll take some of that action.

    She'll probably get Revive. If she keeps Harvest (all casters with Revive have ways to get extra Focus/Fury) it could be pretty cool. Fun for reviving Ravagers and Wolf Riders.

    For emorvy I'm assuming some sort of spd cntrl spell... Because the cavalry casters all have a way of increasing spf... Vlad has infernal machine, kreoss warpath, kraye feat and easy rider, vyros feat and easy rider...

    So I'm going with: mobility or road to war.. maybe even leash as it seems like a spell she should have
    Other spells i'd like to see are all gamebreaking and have been listed already

    Dark guidance, Unearthly rage, overrun, Ritual sacrifice (make the sentry stone unit useful), ravager, Temporal barrier, Arcane Shield, fury, Batten down the hatches (for our constructs), strength of granite.
