Default Hi! I'm super new and looking for feedback :)

I've just started playing/learning to paint and I'm finding that I really enjoy both! I'm very lucky that I have a really awesome gaming store in my town that has tons of other people to play with and learn from but I'd love some more feedback! I bought the orboros battle box and I've finished painting and basing the two argus (arguses??) and I'm ALMOST done painting the warpwolf, but he needs to be based (and rhinestoned, hahahahahhahahahhahaha) I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the painting section but I thought here would be safer so I wouldn't be clogging up the other area with silly beginner stuff. Anyway, if there's any advice you could give me/tutorials to watch etc I'd love to hear it! Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!

That is actually amazing for first starting. I am also super new to painting, and I am not half as good! Those are great!

Those look excellent for a new painter. That said, the pink looks a bit flat and the fingernails/toenails on the Warpwolf could use some highlights. I can't really tell if the white straps have had highlights/shades but white always needs some, in my experience. Keep up the good work!

Nice warpwolf! I'm going for a similar look on my gorax. I wanted him to look kinda like Beast from x-men.

I would touch up the gold lattice on his armor plates a little bit, but overall, looking good!

Since you're just starting off, some stuff won't be as clean, obviously. This is much better than when I started, that's for sure.

Just for quick c&c before I pass out on the couch: The gold trim on the sections of armor could use some highlights to help pick them out better. If you don't have a brighter gold, mixing your current gold with a bright silver, i.e. Radiant Platinum, would work just as well.

To give the claws and long fur more definition, just go over the highest areas with gradually lighter shades of the blue, done by mixing in more and more of a brighter blue or white/gray. Similar to what you did on the Argi.

The short fur, aka most of the warpwolf, looks great. It's highlighted well, it's shaded and blended well, keep that up.

Remember, you can only improve the more you practice.

I could just talk to you in person I suppose... But having seen these in person I think your skin shading is great and agree with the folks here that applying that depth of color to the armor and small details of her models will make these pretty amazing!

You will get a much larger response, and great amount of feedback in the Modeling & Miniatures forum, regardless of whether you're new or not.

I'll just echo what has already been said. Add some shading and highlights to add depth and contrast.
    Keep up the excellent work!

I wish my first models were this good....

    Thanks.

Daviid, thank you!! I'm sure you're doing just fine What faction are you painting??

Flak, thank you and I agree about the pink color, I'm not sure what exactly to do about it though... It'd probably be a good idea to actually buy a pretty shade of pink paint rather than just mix red and white. I may end up just repainting all the pink purple instead. Both the fingernails and the straps were on my to do list today and I got to both of them The both look much better now! I wasn't sure what color to paint the shadows on the straps but I ended up using dark grey and I think it looks pretty good. Now the nails just need a gloss coat and they'll be all done!

Fightdude, awww cool! Hahaha, yeah, the gold was the last thing I painted yesterday and had to leave in a rush so I didn't finish all of it. I got to it today though!

Drzombieface, thank you for that idea! I never thought to highlight the gold, and definitely wouldn't have thought about mixing gold and silver. I did that today and I'm really pleased with how it looks. I decided that the long fur needed more lowlights and highlights so I washed all of it (especially around the face/head) with black then drybrushed a tiny bit of light blue for highlights, it looks way better now!

Zack, thanks!! Haha, did Hazel tell you she named the warpwolf Gwen?!

Ghool, I'll definitely post there in the future! Thank you

When I've got the warpwolf and Kaya based I'll post the pictures in the Modeling & Miniatures forum! Thank you for the input everyone, it's much appreciated!
