New player 15 points of Retribution!

Hey guys am new to the Warmachine scene, well Retribution at least, and I'm really searching for my niche. I really enjoy the look and fluff of Kaelyssa so I'd like to stick with her, any advice you can offer me would be great.

Well first off welcome. Kaelyssa is a great Caster and very much a toolbox caster for the Retribution. Her Witchhound ability is a lot of fun especially in smaller games where spell targets will often be her Battlegroup due to lack of other targets. That said, this is my list for 15 with her.

(Min) Mage Hunter Strike Force
-UA
(Min) Houseguard Halberdiers
Arcanist

If you want to experience more jacks, the Griffon (or Aspis) can take the place of the Halberdiers. Although Ret infantry is our strong point, and focussing on that early will help you out in the long run. Of course if you are playing Mangled Metal, just ignore this list and go with something like;

Kaeylssa, Nights Whisper
-Banshee
-Sphinx
-Girffon (Or Aspis)

You will be a point short, but it is a decent list and with two heavies you can lay down some hurt. The Sphinx will be your beatstick with the Banshee knocking down and hurting enemies. Her Wailing will also be useful if anything gets to close and you'd like to neuter the charge. The Griffon or Aspis will be a last resort attacker and defender of Kaelyssa herself, or to clear charge lanes/bate enemy attacks.
