pHaley, for the first time in MKII

Back in MKI one I used to play pHaley quite a lot at 500 points.

It was basically Twin Hunters with Precursors+UA and I got a bit of a rep for being brutal and Feating turn one, just for the Hunters.

Moving to present day, I am looking at entering a 35 point comp a couple of months away and I'm going to get limited time to practice, so after rocking a pButcher list at the 25 Sunday just gone, I thinking of bring back my dream girl of yester-year.

Translation in to MKII brings my old pHaley list to this.

But for some reason I'm not feeling this list.
Thorn I used to use as per his fluff, abusing the Disruption Spear and Shock Shield against heavies (He was also the only "real" Arcane Shield target). But I'm thinking I need something a bit heavier hitting and I'm looking at dropping him and Rhupert (or Harlan) for a melee jack.

Considering the amount of Morrowan models, Gallant could be a choice (Though I would need to buy him) but I was concerned that Pow 17 might struggle with the super hard targets. Being that I have 10 points if I drop Thorn and the Solo I also thought of a Stormclad (of which I have a nice conversion of), it brings a high powered range attack, our highest Pow melee weapon. But then, if I went that route, I thought I might as well drop the 12 Precursors for 10 Stormblades, then I have a infantry target for Arcane Shield, she can Dead Eye them if needed, but going that route opens me up to magic attacks, were as with Precursors and Harlan (Combined with Vortex Spear) I was pretty safe from magic attacks.

I could just go with Precursors and Stormclad, but I just feels such a Noob mistake.......


As a side note, there is a second list allowed, and Character restrictions will be in effect. Though the other caster/ list has yet to be determined (Likely to be either the other Haley or a Nemo)

I did not play lot of pHaley, but for what you will use thorn? If your thinking of casting Temp Barr. so little focus to do anything else.
For one i like PK's more that SB, as they more survivable and if your playing on advancing not so fast up the field they good with shield wall. Think your really need a heavy hitter, so depends if you want a fast one or not, Stormclad or Centurion. Cents speed is not a problem with Temp barrier most of the time. Hits near as hard and with AS it's a hard target and unchargable. I don't feel that you must run SB with Clad Gallant is nice, but lacks a bit punch, not much but a bit

I got quite competent with pHaley before. With the exception of against Legion, I cast Temporal Barrier once per game. Usually on the feat turn.

With Arcane shield, the Storm Blades are faster and TB will still allow them to get the charge.
