Multiple List Tournaments?
I've never been or seen a WM/H tournament before, but I see people talk about taking multiple lists to them.
I get that multiple lists help you prepare for different situations, but I don't understand how you switch between the lists.
I was just wondering if someone can explain to me how the multiple list system works. When do you decide which list you are using? When does your opponent know which list you are using? When can you switch between them? Are there restrictions for what can be in each list; for example, can you have the same character unit/model in all lists, or just one? Does FA extend to all lists, or only apply to each list individually? If the game is a multi-caster game, can you have different iterations of the same 'caster/'lock (like the Prime and Epic versions of the same character) in the same army?
Sorry for the huge list of questions, but I know nothing about tournament level WM/H. I've only ever played 13-35pt level games with a friend.

You should really read the steamroller pdf. it explains it all.
Basically you have 2 different lists, if character restrictions are used (which they are often not) then you can only have a character in one of the lists. FA is for each list, not both. At the start of a match, you hand your 2 lists to your opponent and he gives you his 2, after you have both checked what the other guys has you pick a list in secret. I recommend reading that steamroller document.

Thanks. I will do just that. And thanks for the quick rundown as well.
