Ok, let me rephrase.......I do not find bald women attractive. To the women out there like sul-menite, I formally apologize if I offended you. My main point is I just thought maybe that under that flowing hood Eiryss had a long mane of dark beautiful hair and I was disappointed to see it was the exact opposite. The hood just added to the mystery of Eiryss and I was sad to see it go. I have family members who have gone through cancer treatment. I'm sorry if I offended you guys.

Couldn't agree more. This stuff needs to have attention drawn to it.

With all due respect this really isn't the place to have a debate about how women are perceived in society. Especially because no one has a problem with how PP is portraying women, but the comment of a single poster. As to that I think you guys kind of jumped down his throat and blew his post out of proportion.

He made no comment as to how he thinks all women should look and be portrayed, he simply said that he doesn't find bald women attractive. To equate that to an insult to cancer victims is pretty silly. Everyone finds something different attractive that doesn't mean they think all women should look that way or some how put down women that don't. Give it a rest.

Actually, what we're taking issue with is the original words, quoted by Spud for posterity:

    "Bald chicks are gross........."

It could be confusing if you've only read the edited versions, of course, but it's very easy to see why that would be insulting to cancer patients.

But you're right, this is NOT the place to be having that discussion.

It is still just an opinion of what he finds attractive, not toward women and a whole and especially not toward cancer victims.

You know what I find just as offensive as sexism? Mindless pandering for politically connectedness.

Back on topic then, you know what I'd like? eKarchev as a Khador, Cryx Ally 'caster. He'd have broken their control over him, but not before they made modifications to enable their newly brainwashed living weapon to control Cryx forces. So if you played him with Khador he'd be the returning hero leading the Motherland's armies again, and if you played him as Cryx he'd be the renegade using his new powers to steal control of their 'jacks and undead, and mentally dominate their living troops in service of Khadoran interests. He could even have a tier list for each faction that'd allow a unit or two from the other side.

Was just about to post this. I'm pretty happy with that actually...I like that there's gonna be a new character (although I was really, REALLY hoping to see Malathrax as a playable caster after reading Colossals...)

I'm really, really, really hoping this means Lesser Warcasters - give 'em a character 'jack of some kind (It doesn't have to be BETTER - a Cygnar Journeyman with a semi-retired Defender would be awesome) and I reckon more 'jacks will start to see table time

Plus it's nice to see more of the human side of the Scharde Isles. Hopefully it'll pave the way to the Bogrin side of the Sharde Isles...

Eh...I REALLY dislike lesser warlocks right now for the very reason that you can simply ignore their beast(s) and make a B-line at them. Most of them are so easy to take down that it's not funny.

Journeyman beyond Cygnar - hurray! Lesser warcasters + character jack - boo!

Isn't Matt one of the instrumental players in bringing forth the Cephalyx? If he's picking up concept art for stuff he feels attached to, wouldn't a Cephalyx caster be one of those things?

Her in general, but she has that same sword/gun thing that Garyth does, which I hate because it's an invitation to stab yourself. There's a reason they never caught on in real life.

Sooooooooo, what unit is she going to be commanding?

Am I the only one who noticed that it says unit commander?

Or is this something that everyone already knows, and once againI am coming late to the information party?

Sorry, the information party was LAST week. You can help clean up though...

But really she is a UA for a new melee unit for Retribution and an alternate UA for the Mage Hunter Strike Force. As far as we know...

Temporal Paradox - This solo may be fielded as part of a three-model unit containing itself, Prime and Epic Eiryss. If an earlier iteration of Eiryss is killed or removed from play, later iterations are removed from play due to the causal violation preventing them from ever having existed. If a later iteration of Eiryss is killed, earlier iterations must pass a Command check or flee due to their now knowing the time and nature of their own death.

Ahhh cool. I must admit I generally only look at my two factions forums.

I like! Very cool idea. Is the fluff reasoning for this that the Iosians are getting fed up with one of their best going and fighting for every one else?

    That would annoy me too.

Well according to the fluff she's really been spying on the people that hired her all along (and provided this info to the Retribution), so I guess now that Ret has made some open moves and attacks people aren't going to want to hire her anymore since they know the Retribution's agenda.

I can't say I find hoodless Eiryss very attractive, but then again, if you'd asked me whether or not a bald elf looked cool prior to retribution, I'd have laughed. But now I think bald elves can look cool too, so maybe hoodless Eiryss will grow on me.

I think the weapons are fine too. The crossbow-blade is basically the same deal as what Garryth has. What doesn't sit with me as well is that her new armaments suggest a much heavier melee application, and that doesn't feel like her. She's always been the shooter, and her former master, Narn, was the melee master. If she's melee-centric now, who'll be the shooter? Will she be as good as Narn? If not, why bother?

So far I'm starting to think I'd have liked it better to see an epic Narn leading this new elf unit, since they sound very melee-focused, and he seems like the better elf for the job.

Then again, I don't know the fluff behind this transition (if indeed there is any transition), so I'll wait and see.

That said, I think the far more interesting point is that matt said "(of sorts)" in regards to the new cryx caster. There is no 'of sorts' warcasters. They're either warcasters, or they're journeymen, or they're something totally new.

So my bet is Cryx is getting a Journeyman warcaster of sorts.

Concept looks really nice, can't wait to see the sculpt. I'd go hood up because Mage Hunters look more mysterious that way. I'm not a fan of the bald elf look in general; they should lean more toward the crazy anime hair. I'll accept it though, out of respect for the fictional culture of the fictional Iosans. On the whole depiction of women thing, I like that my Cygnar ladies keep their armor on (even when pole-dancing)! My wife, on the other hand, loves her sexy Cryx witches. Go figure.

I'm glad Matt took my suggestion in part. I suggested she be standing on a warjack part, possibly a leg/arm. I think the head works just fine as well.
