Broadsides Bart, a dirty pirate

Seeing the art for the Galleon filled me with enough inspiration to go out and get Broadsides Bart, and to work on a small group of mercs for him that I may one day add a Galleon to. This thread is to document this project, or at least the start of it.

So far, here is the captain himself. I had a lot of trouble finding a good colour for his pants, and I think I will make them a bit redder than they are now. I've tried to mostly use the studio scheme, just darker and dirtier, and I think he works best with a very red palette, to emphasise the "red tide of blood" aspect of his character.

I like his face. I like my paint scheme better, but I'm super jealous of his face and hair. Nice work! He does look mysterious.
