    Default Made up character jacks...

What are some character jacks would you like to see? I know this has probably been done already but I would like to see some suggestions about some character jacks for some casters that dont have them. I want to see something reasonable that wont break the game wide open. My first choice would be Butcher. I think a Beserker with two giant reaver blades. Lets see rules: Regular Beserker rules plus Spell ward and reach. Maybe bring his armor up to 20. Giant Doom Reaver blades POW 7. Cost 8? I don't think that is too bad. I thought about adding some rule that lets him have as much focus as you want to load on him, this would result in almost certainly exploding him. But I dont think that would be so hot. Oh! Name....Rasputin!

I have thought about what I would do to make that Beserker. I am thinking Drago's torso and shoulder pads, classic Beserker arms and the plastic kits legs. Two nomad swords, slightly modified to look like DR blades. Some random bits and pieces to give it some repairs. I would like to attempt the conversion but currently cant do it. Maybe some day though....

We have a campaign system for generating custom jacks here at our store. We haven't played it fully yet and there is no gaurantee it's balanced (it's meant to be more fun and conversion modelling based instead of pure balance).

Here's the last one I built using that system:

    Alaric the Grey
    Circle Character Heavy Warbeast

    SPD 6
    STR 11
    MAT 7
    RAT 3
    DEF 15
    ARM 17
    CMD 7
    THR 10
    Fury 4

    Mind 8
    Body 9
    Spirit 8

    Prowl
    Prey
    Pathfinder
    Regeneration (D3)
Controlled Warping: (Precision Strike, Berserk, Strength)

    Skean Weaver (R)
    POW6, P+s 17, Reach, Magic Weapon, Dispel

    Open Fist (L)
    POW 4, P+S 15, Open Fist

    PC 13
    FA C

This seems like a fun game.

Fist let me say good job so far. I don’t know Warmachine nearly as well as I know Hordes, but with that said Alaric the Grey seems amazing.

I would also like to contribute a Beast, but my idea isn’t a character.

The concept of the model is a Dire Troll that looks like what can be built with the Trollbood Heavy kit (quite possibly an upgrade kit.) In his right hand he holds what is clearly an uprooted tree.

I like this idea because it would be cool from a modeling and painting side as well, also it seems thematic with trolls (Mulg has a club and Rök has an Axe, but they are both characters.)

And while I have the concept down the name seems to be the hardest part. Dire Troll Swinger and Dire Troll Clubber both create completely the wrong mental images.

    Dire Troll Deforester
    Trollblood Heavy Warbeast

    SPD 5
    STR 12
    MAT 6
    RAT 3
    DEF 12
    ARM 18
    CMD 5
    THR 9
    Fury 5

    Mind 8
    Body 10
    Spirit 8

    Regeneration (D3)
    Snacking

    Uprooted Tree (R)
    POW 5, P+S 17, Reach,

    Big Meaty Fist (L)
    POW 4, P+S 16, Open Fist

    Animus Beatstick:
Cost 1, Range Self, Up No, OFF, No
This model’s Melee weapons gain Beat Back. Beatstick lasts for 1 turn. (Immediately after a normal attack with a weapon with Beat Back is resolved during this model’s combat action, the enemy model hit can be pushed 1” directly away from the attacking model. After the enemy model is pushed, the attacking model can advance up to 1”.)

I don't like Strakov's character warjack, Torch so much. He's cool, but not Strakov's style. Not like a custom Kodiak!

    Hood Custom Kodiak

Basically same stats as a standard Kodiak, but a point in speed (maybe?) and a point in MAT (as that seems to be the way character 'jacks go). Plus, instead of vent steam, you could pay a focus to have a 4" AOE cloud around him. So he maintains his attacks but provides cover.

    BACKSTORY
Strakov discovered Hood in the company of a railroad guard detail near the Cygnar border. The mechanics there had cannibalized steam locomotive parts and built them into a Kodiak. By replacing the already heavy boiler with a super heavy boiler they expected to create an even faster Kodiak. Not only did they succeed in making him fast, the warjack also put forth a constant cloud of steam. When their section of railroad became a battleground with Cygnarian forces, Hood was put into action alongside Strakov and his assault kommandos. Their masks allowed them to see out of Hood's wake while he hid their advance with clouds even as he rushed at breakneck speed into enemy warjacks. The rest is history.

    I drew a picture!

    Here's my suggestion:

    The Winds of Change
    Character Protectorate Dervish Light Warjack
Statline: Dervish with +1 SPD, +1 DEF, and +1 PC
    Weapons: 2x P+S 13 swords
    *Attack: Combo Strike

    Affinity [Amon]: Perfect Balance
Imprint: Shifting Winds stance (Model gains +2 DEF and if missed by an attack it may make a full advance)
    Special Issue [Amon]

Note that Side Step was omitted from this model, this is intentional.
NoVA players: Come to Game Parlor Chantilly on Thursday nights for some Warmachine/Hordes action!

The Protectorate of Menoth: We're on a mission from God.

    The Gatekeeper

    Character Protectorate Redeemer Light Warjack

    Statline: Redeemer with +1 RAT
    PC: 7

    Weapons: Standard Redeemer
Skyhammer Rocket: the AOE's are cloud effects that remain in play for one round. Friendly Faction models ignore cloud effects created by this model.

Dual Shot: if it forfeits is movement it can make a second shot w/out spending a focus.
Affinity (High Reclaimer): Reclaim Beacon: while this model is in its controllers Ctrl, its controller can reclaim models within 6" of this model.

    I like this game.

    Pain
    -Cryx Character Leviathan -11 points
    Stats: As Leviathan
    Special Rules:
    -As Leviathan
-Blood Letting: When making a melee attack with its Lacerator Flail, Pain may choose one of the following effects:-Blood Burst (As Tharn Blood Weavers) -Blood Mist (As Satyxis Blood Witches).
    -Special Issue Skarre

    Weapons:
    Lacerator Flail (R) PS: 17

    -Chain Weapon
    -Critical Knock Down
    -Feedback

    Widdower Cannon (L)
    -RNG 14 POW 13 AOE 3

    Rack (H) POW 4 PS 16
    -Critical Knockdown

Built to the pirate queen's exacting specifications, the Leviathan Pain was subjected to weeks of Satyxis blood rituals, imbuing its cortex with vile sorcery and a thirst for the blood of the living. Two massive horns grew from its sleek skull, emulating the appearance and utility of those it was modeled after. Its arm was replaced with one of the Widdower's own deadly cannons, and the other a formidable collection of Satyxis Lacerators. Pain stalks the battle field delighting in the carnage as it absorbs the power of the blood that splatters its hull.

    Stubby
    -Cygnar Character Charger -6 Points
    -Stats: Same as Charger
    Special Rules:
    -Accumulator: Trencher

    Weapons:
    Dual Scatter Gun (L):
    -Rng: SP 8 POW 12 ROF 2
    -Powerful Shot

    Trench Sword (R): Pow 6 PS 13
    -Brutal Charge

The Charger known as 'Stubby' is the mascot of the 23rd Trencher Company. Originally belonging to an unfortuante Journeyman Warcaster named Lt. Stubbs, the Charger was heavily damaged in a border clash with the Khadorans during the Llael invasion. The trenchers were left with little warcaster or warjack support, a handfull of grenadiers, and the nearly wrecked charger. After several grueling hours of fighting off probing Khadorans, one of the handfull of mechaniks decided that if the charger's dual cannon could not be repaired, it would be modified. After deciding that the loading mechanism was serviceable, the mechanik replaced the ruined barrels with a pair of discarded trencher commando scatterguns, and loaded modified shells into the charger's new untested cannon. The mechanik found a rather battered trench sword and welded it to what was left of the charger's right arm. The work took the mechanik through the night, but in the morning he walked out of his improvised workshop with the modified charger and presented it to the injured journeyman warcaster, who laughed at the cobbled together warjack. The mechanik took it to the front lines, marshalling it himself and proved the usefulness of the warjack. The men nick named the warjack 'Stubby' both to insult the lieutenant who had snubbed it, and to reflect its two stout scatterguns, and kept it after withdrawing from the Khadorans. Stubby has spent a long time with the Trenchers of the 23rd, who have made sure the jack was repaired and that its new weaponry was properly outfitted. Over the years the charger has developed a cortex quirk, growing protective of the soldiers, pushing itself to assure that they all come back alive.

Hunter you mean? "Ace" does not have Parry, I swapped it out with a polarity shield and has gunfighter but still it's screwed if it goes into melee because the shield is weaker than the battle axe of a normal hunter.
