Semi-new to WMHD, pVyros Slow-Grow lists, please critique

Hello community, I need your expert opinion on the army lists below. I thank you in advance for any opinions and critiques.

I've been playing WMHD for a few months now, and apparently chosen a "difficult" caster to play within our glorious faction. At my FLGS, we have a slow-grow league that I'm competing in. The only restriction is that we cannot change our caster, and the league games escalate after a tournament at the end of every month. This month will bring to a close the 15 point games, but will escalate to 25, 35, and then 50 points before starting over.

One of the other quirks that I've heard was out of the ordinary was that at 15 points we were not restricted to Mangled Metal/Tooth and Claw lists, and could build any loadout for 15. While I favor this choice, I have seen surprised faces from local veterans of WMHD when this main mechanic was announced for our league. Even though 15 points is about the

pVyros is difficult, but I love the look and feel of the caster and the semi-tanky Dawnguard units, which is what drew me to the greatness of the Retribution in the first place. I'm also stuck with the caster for the league, and I don't like how any of the other casters play (save for the new eVyros). A majority of my opponents are Menoth, Circle, Legion, Cryx, and Minions (Gators mainly), and my results are mixed across the board. I'm still a beginner, but a second, third, or fourth opinion of my lists would help quite a lot.

I'm guessing since this is Tier 4 this is a run of the mill list for pVyros at 50 points. But what do I know, I'm still new.

I'm a newbie, and I haven't played the Dawnlord much, so take this with a grain of salt, but...

Cryx is gonna be rough without AoEs and limited magical weapons, in my opinion. Cryx seem fond of stealth and incorporeal. The Phoenix has both a magical AoE and a magic sword, but Combustion isn't magical, and that AoE is maybe its #4 option after sword, combust, and power attacks.

I like the Griffons for charges, and with Bird's Eye they have a silly 2" 360-circle they engage which is good for flanking with Invictors or the Dawnlord himself. However, they don't hit as hard as Manticore, who would cost 8 points, and has that great +strength imprint (especially if you manage to get him loaded up on focus from the feat.)

If you want to play his tiers, it's cool, but his tier in the Retribution book doesn't give you a lot of variety. He has another tier list in No Quarter #35 that's similar but gives you a few different options, if you haven't seen it. I just thought I'd mention it.

But I'm sure others may have more illuminating things to say.

I was planning on building a list with 2 hyperions and 2 arcanists and going from there. However, I'd like to have another list that doesn't use colossals, I came to RoS for the Dawnguard units and would like to use them (unless they fit better in an eVyros list).

And I'll take a look at the other tier list, thanks for that.
