    Default Quick Work Clarifiaction

Sorry if this has been asked before, but the search brought up hundreds of threads and nothing popped up that looked like the information i needed on the first few pages.
So just got back from playing with my local gaming group and the big question of the night was quick work. I will lay out 2 different scenarios.

1: A mounted Caster with Quick Work does a Impact Attack against 4 models and kills each one, caster is now no longer in melee range of anymore enemy models. Does Quick Work Trigger 4 times after each kill or only once after all the impact attacks are complete.

2: A model with 2 meele attacks, Quick Work, Snap Fire, and Swift Hunter Charges a enemy model and kills it with its first melee which triggers Quick Work because the model is no longer in melee range of a enemy model. Kills another model with the Quick Work. Then that triggers Snap Fire and it kills another enemy model. That triggers Swift Hunter and it moves into melee with another enemy model and kills it with its 2nd attack. Does this trigger Quick Work again followed by another Snap Fire and Swift Hunter if it Kills it?

Very confused every one of my fellow gamers could see both sides of argument. What is the truth of it?

You can't save up the Quick Work triggers. You'd be engaged up until the final enemy was dead, so only after the last was gone would you get your one quick work shot. Note that Quick work says "one or more enemy models" in the description, so killing a bunch of enemy models with simultaneous attacks doesn't result in multiple quick work shots either. Furthermore, if you do Impact Attacks, you're probably charging, and if you kill everyone with your impact attacks so that your charge target is no longer there, your activation will immediately end.

And also, though I'm less sure about this: Quick work says it triggers from melee attacks during combat action. I'm not sure if Impact Attacks are part of the combat action or not, since they get resolved during movement.

Yes. See Ravyn from Retribution. Although she has to buy the second melee hit and doesn't have snap fire. But swift hunting yourself back into melee after gunning something down, cutting an enemy down, and thereby getting another Quick work is a favorite tactic of hers.

I believe impact attacks are not considered melee attacks as they are not made with a model's melee weapons

You're right, Impact Attacks are not made during your combat action. The thing that actually puts your combat action in between movement is Ride-by attacks.

Your activation doesn't immediately end after killing your charge target with impact attacks though, because your movement isn't done yet. You'd continue your movement as far as possible, to try to get your charge target in range, fail to do so and only then does your activation end.

^Yeah, he made it sound like there was no one else to go for since he was talking about taking a quick work shot after the impact attacks were done.

Thanks for confirming that they aren't part of the combat action.

@Saraminss: Impact Attacks are Melee Attacks, they just aren't made with "Weapons."

Impact attacks are melee attacks, but as mentioned, they do not occur as part of the model's combat action.

sorry... I remembered having read that mounts were not melee weapons (and this is true), but had assumed that that also meant their attacks were not melee attacks. After having looked on page 83 of Primal... it clearly states that they are...
