... Where do the storm pods actually launch from?

So Stormwall interfaces with an alien mothership in orbit that launches Storm Pods on command?
Hey, that works, I like it.

I plan on assembling my Stormwall over the next week and I was hoping this would become apparent as I built it.
I thought so too. Initially from the pictures I thought that the section at the top of the torso was the launcher, but it just seems to be the same kind of thing that's on the hands, which suggests it's storm-related, but I don't see how a storm pod could launch from there unless it's a hatch that opens.

This was a definite design flaw.
I just assumed that thing on top opened up and they shot from there
There's an outline of -something- in the area directly above its head but below the storm generators that lead to the back. I'm assuming it sort of pops out like a submarine hatch, the pod rockets off to the moon and back, and then it closes.
I really think it is the little hatch at the top! But I'm now going to believe in aliens as that is MUCH cooler!!
Huh, I just thought it fired special shells from the Big Guns. But then I haven't seen the model in person as of yet, nor have I put much thought into it. So for now I say its

I thought I read somewhere that it fires them out of the hatch above it's head.
That made me realise something, do any of the Colossals have a hatch to access their Cortex like regular 'jacks do?
The exhaust port hole. Hope nothing gets shot up there.
Huh. Six months away from Cygnar and I've forgotten how to win... until Kara Sloan goes all 'bullet to the head' several games in a row. It's good to be back.
Nemo likes to think its an character trait
The thing on top that matches the back of the hands could potentially make sense, since there are 3 of them and 3 pods. I've just assumed they are shot from the Big Guns though.
Model a santa hat on him and a bulging bag o'pods on his back.... This christmas santa's got a brand new bag.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Now now stop trolling everyone we all know that a wizard did it k.
I think it is kind of along the same lines as to how Darius poops out a halfjack every turn...there is a hatch somewhere...just don't ask to see it!![]()

And yes, it looks like a poop shoot. One of the things I really want on a Darius resculpt would be to have an actual rack on the back of the armour that the half-jacks could deploy from.

Our Warmachine and Hordes Blog.
There are three launch areas, one in each forearm and one above its head. There are 3 Stormpods. Put 2 and 2 together....
The stormwall has more than 3 pods. It can just only have 3 pods active at a time. If it deployed 3 and one gets destroyed, the stormwall can launch a 4th.
Anyways, the areas on the back of the hands are too small to hold a storm pod. A storm pod is wider than the wrist itself, and you'd be able to see it under the plate.
I was under the impression that those circular areas on the backs of the hands were the emitors for the electro-leap on the fists.
"If at first you don't succeed, label it version 1.0."
I have no idea. The one on the head looks to be in the right spot, and the way it's described in the book sounds like its the right spot, but unless the storm pods also retract in length when they're stored, there's no way they'd fit in the hands.
I think it might have just been a disconnect in the dev cycle. Maybe it was intended to be something else, or something changed. Maybe they originally weren't models, but just emissions of electricity, and didn't need a physical launch bay. I dunno. Personally I don't see anything on the stormwall that looks like it would be where a storm pod would launch from. Even the part on the top of the torso, while being in the right spot, sure doesn't look like a launch hatch.

I plan to sculpt a bandolier onto mine. It seems they simply forgot this part.
He obviously throws them.

My guess is that the wrists and above-the-head bit are intended to be where they come from, but the scale's off.
