    Default Man-O-War Demolition Corp

Finally got my unit of MOW done. I love the look of these models and they were a joy to paint but a pain to photograph, I really need to get a better camera. Painted these as much as possible with my airbrush. Also used oil washes and some home made weathering pigments. I am really happy with the way that they turned out.

Comments are always welcomed and please feel free to ask any questions

Thanks! I have to admit I am not very good at doing OSL with a brush, so I used my airbrush for the effect. It makes it so much easier.

I am totally ok with this. I wanted to put something there and I figured this looked cool.

Imageshack seems to hate two of the pictures I uploaded. Here is an alternate link to them. These are also more high res if you want a closer look.

The only thing I'm iffy on is the glow on the faces. Apart from that I think they look awesome. I love the numbering idea.

They look awesome, my only gripe is the glow from the faces. They are just dudes with helmets on so it wouldn't really glow like that. But other than my ocd over that, they are hot

Would love some insight into your numbers. That's a great looking squad and those numbers really look incredible.

It is actually very simple. You buy some hard pastels and shave/crush bits into a power and then brush it on. You get a wide range of colours for dirt cheap. I used a dark brown to dirty up the feet.

I learned about that and oil washes from this guy

    Great tutorials.

The numbers were done buy cutting out the numbers in painters masking tape (low adhesive so it doesn't pull up paint) and then spraying a light grey then highlighting with white.

    1. put done a bit of tape on your table/cutting mat
    2. place a second bit of tape over (this will be the stencil)
    3. draw out the number
    4.cut it out
    5. stick it down
    6. Paint

The reason I stick the first piece of tape down is so that when you peel the stencil up off it, the stencil will still be sticky. The first one i didn't do this and it didn't stick to the model at all.

I understand the osl on the helmet isn't everyone's thing. I blame my need to do it on my love of mecha and armored core growing up

Thanks again to everyone who has commented! I really appreciate it
