Think we will see Ogrun UAs?

If so would it be utterly ridiculous for a warspear UA to grant critical (forgot the name, push and knockdown)? Any thoughts on what we might see if it happens?

No idea if it would happen but it would probably make them a tad more tactically flexible in scenarios and you would probably see them with pLylyth for the crit effect with her feat.

Still think their range and only being able to hit LOOOOW defence targets most of the time lets them down. A UA would need to impact on this before i would take a serious look at them.

Maybe an extended fire mini-feat like the invictors and venator UAs have?

UA's for medium based multi wound infantry seem to be a rarity in the game and I believe that the only once currently in the game are:Tharn Ravager Chieftain, Tyrant Vorkesh and Skaldi Bonehammer. However since the only units we have without UA's are the ogruns, vessel, raptors and grotesques it is possible that one of the ogrun units will get one.

A UA that grants Warspears CRA would be nice, or Overtake for Warmongers. Not likely, though.

Overtake on warmongers with rhyas feat and the warchief MAT boost in the rearguard tier would be sweet!

I could see Relentless Charge(?) on Warmongers. Pathfinder on the charge would be nice. Retaliatory Strike would be nasty as well.

Relentless, brutal or powerful charge would all be useful in different ways, heck why not all three?!

On a serious note a ogrun shaman with tactics: ghostly when charging and granted: brutal or powerful charge would be interesting and make the UA more distinct from the warchief.

I doubt ogrun will get much more than they have. I could see a character ua, or a character warcheif though. but fluff line, the orgrun seem to be falling off everblights radar in favor of the nyss. i dont think to many would realistically rise in the ranks.

/mind blown, I didn't even notice they got the charge bonus for the Ambuscade throw! That order is way more busted then I thought. RAT 7, POW 13 Assaulting shot that gets Charge Damage is sweet. I had been enjoying just the thought of RAT 7 Assaults along with a horrific penalty on crits (-2 Speed, Defens, no Running and no Action for those who don't have the old books, and any Model could suffer from it, so if you say, hit a Bronze Back with a Crit, it gets to do nothing but walk. Curse you Jake, now you have me going through the old broken Mark 1 stuff I never got to toy with. Even the little things, like the ability to get magic weapon on Swordsmen or Pathfinder.

On occasion I google a question and get linked to Battle college, get very excited, then notice that it is MK1 and immediately sink in mood. I would wonder "why am I not using these with all this awesome stuff?" and then realize why I excluded said model/unit.

I remember reading about warspears in the book then we got the field test for MKII. I was super sad cause warspears weren't out yet.

That's also why infantrymachine was so popular. Why pay for boosts when units get them for free?

I don't see a UA being too likely. The Warchief already does double duty in that regard. Our UAs also tend to be really expensive. The only one I take with regularity is the Strider one. If I was paying 11 points for Warmongers or Warspears that UA would have to be pretty fantastic.

Giving them a UA might make them worth a purchase...maybe. Until then gators will proudly stand in for the sub-par Ogrun.
