Default Building a better eKaya list?

I'm having a lot of trouble writing an eKaya list that I actually want to put on the table. She wants to run super beast heavy, but she doesn't have the fury to support them.

So I'm thinking that playing a mixed list is probably the way to go. Non-tier, because I don't own Skinwalkers. I'd need one unit for the tier and probably another unit for reinforcements. Screw that. At least, until the plastic 2 player battlebox for Hordes comes out.

I think I'm gonna pair her with Mohsar. He's super fun. I'd probably take Kaya in pairings that have colossals.

Let's start with the beast mix.

    Gorax is mandatory.
    Stalker is mandatory.
I have Ghetto free, so lets put him in.
Maybe add Gnarlhorn for Bounding and screwing people over with this counter.
    Wilder is a no brainer.
    Blackclad for threat extension.
And at least one set of Stones for fury control.

    eKaya
    - Laris
    - Ghetto
    - Stalker
    - Gnarlhorn
    - Gorax
    - Wilder
    Blackclad
    Shifting Stones

    14pts left.

From there, I have a choice of Wolfriders, Bloodtrackers (Nuala is in the other list) or Druids.

    10 Trackers (8)
    Leaving 6pts.

    Totem Hunter? Hm.
Second set of Stones and U/A?

    ...

    Bleeeeh.

Anyone had any tournament success with eKaya?

Let's talk lists and tactics. I've got a tournament in a month and I need to get playtesting.

So yeah. I'm gonna try this out:

    eKaya
    - Laris
    - Gorax
    - Gnarlhorn
    - Ghetto
    - Stalker
    - Wilder
    10 Trackers
    Stones
    Stones, Stoneward
    Blackclad
    Totem Hunter
    =50

I know eKaya doesn't really need double stones, but I'm thinking that after feat turn, I can double/single port back into the fray.

Looks decent, but if you're running EKaya out of tier then look at some of the juicy options denied to her in tier - especially the lord of the feast to help her iwth infantry clearence, even white manes. Blackclads are good, so good you can contemplate goiung for two of them (their srpays help a lot).

Regarding heavies, fury and EKaya -I always take 4 heavies (trinity and a gnarlhorn) and 2 lights (gorax and Laris) and i've gone with more beasts (argus for cruise missiles). Kaya can cope as alpha stops incremental fury building up. Primal guarantees a fury shedding frenzy and you done have to max every thing out on feat turn (removing 1-2 key pieces and a reposition is often good enough). Shifting stones help a bit, and the wilder is good, especially with the pureblood (to wipe him clear as his spray can find enough targets to be worth boosting).

I love the totem hunter, but he's not really nescessary with eKaya, neither are the gobbers, i'd swap them for the lord of the feast.

@ The tier list, it is really good. I was miffed about the skinwalkers being in there when I first saw the list, but they are really good objective grabbers and blockers to hide the heavy beasts behind. Druids give her the board control she lacks and people hate them, so target them which doesn't bother me as they are disposible in the tier list.

At tourniments I find that Kaya is good against heavy armour and some of the tricky opponents, Nemo, Vlad and has to avoid infantry spam. Some infantry she can cope with. I'm fond of ghostly/speed warped trample with a forced evolutioned bounding Feral (11-13 inches) of high MAT, good pow hits that cant be freestriked against from reach weaponmasters. Stalkers and purebloods help. She's also a decent anti-circle option, but then again - so is Mohsar.

Actually, there aren't any Gobbers. I'm so used to putting them in all my lists that they're in there. Oops.

The problem with LOTF, is if he misses that Raven shot then he's sitting in the middle of nowhere like a chump.

And the main reason I'm not playing tier is Skinwalkers. I'll need a unit for tier and probably a second unit for reinforcements, cause the only other thing I can take is Skinwalkers or more beasts.

I'll consider tier, once the two-player battlebox comes out and I can put up some cheap ones.

I think this is what I'd go with if running Kaya2. I'd have to stay in here theme force though to be honest, its just too damn good.

    Kaya the Moonhunter +3
    - Laris
    - Feral Warpwolf 8
    - Gnarlhorn Satyr 7
    - Shadowhorn Satyr 6
    - Warpwolf Stalker 9
    - Gorax 4
    - Druid Wilder
    Druids of Orboros 7
    - Druid of Orboros Overseer 2
    Shifting Stones 2
    - Stone Keeper 1
    Warpborn Skinwalkers (min) 5

    Reinforcements:
    Warpwolf Stalker
    War Wolf
    OR
    Feral Warpwolf
    Shifting Stones

Looking at the list, I can tell that I'd play around with it more. Might want a Pureblood in there since I don't have a ton of great ways to deal with infantry in a list like this. Also, the final 2 points between the Druid Wilder, 2nd set of Shifting Stones and the Druid Overseer would probably get messed around with. Pretty tough not to justify getting the Skinwalkers for 1 point though effectively.

Right, second attempt to write this (stupid computer) - so condensed version.

Basically, if you want to go out of tier you have to justify it by bringing the good stuff Kaya can't get in tier. You've done this with ghettorix, but I'm not convinced by the Bloodtrackers without Nuala. And Nulala works better with mohsar. So I'd think about taking Druids and Wolfriders and perhaps dropping some of the shifting stones, as you have a lot of support in the list. Kaya can cope with lots of Heavies ( I play with 4 and a single unit of shifting stones and no wilder) and between dogpile and tramples + feat she can get her heavies into interesting places, so the stones aren't so nescessary.

Overall though, playtest and see how/what you like.
