Talking New player from Omaha NE reporting in!

Just wanted to say hey. This is my first miniature game and I was really on the fence between this and Warhammer, this seemed to have more players in the area and a friendlier online community (/r/warmachine is great) so I sprung for it and I'm not disappointed in the least. Have the Cryx battle box since I have a weird love for zombies (http://www.zombiegames.net shameless plug). I was able to play one game earlier today and I loved it! Hope to get some more playtime in the local area and maybe hit some tournies once I get a better understanding of the rules.

Welcome to the Iron Kingdoms. Glad to hear you chose us over the other game. I was the same way when I got into it. This is my first miniatures game as well and has become the love of my life in terms of gaming. May you crush all who stand in your way.

Welcome to the game! I go out to The Game Shoppe fairly often and play with those guys in Southeast Omaha/Bellevue. Adam and Josh are the Pressgangers in the area and are really helpful if you haven't already met them. We just had a fun tournament out in Lincoln with a lot of the Omaha players as well. I'm sure I'll meet you eventually. I'll be playing purple Cryx or unpainted Circle for now.

Anyway I hope to come out Saturday morning for sure then, maybe Ill finally have all my guys painted.

They've had issues with bots and spam on the forums, in the past. I know you can get completely registered at the store in person, which is what i ended up doing, and you can MAYBE call to accomplish the same.

They play on Tuesday nights and Saturday morning/early afternoon. I've never been to Tuesday night games, but on Saturday, people start showing up 10-11am, and it winds down around 4-5pm. Just to warn you though, there is a big tournament in Des Moines this Saturday, so most of the regulars will be out of town. Don't be discouraged if there's not a big turnout this Saturday because of that. There's usually 10 or so players though.

Overall, it's a great store to play at. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful, and they keep a LOT of stock on the shelves too, so it's great for those impulse buys. Wish I still lived in Bellevue instead of Lincoln so I could show up more often.
