Default Question on kit bashing a Cyclops Savage into a Cyclops Brute

So I purchased the Skorne Warpack, and I intend to play pMorghoul alot in competetive play, so my question is would it be a good idea to kit bash the second Cyclops Savage you get in the starter into a Cyclops Brute by buying a few of the key metal parts and card of the Brute?

I purchased the plastic/resin starter, and the parts I would get for the Brute would be metal, so do you guys think I should try to kit bash to save some money, or should I just buy a Brute outright?

Also, if you guys think I should Kit Bash, how would you do it? I know the holes would have to be filled with Green Stuff, but I'm not sure the parts would fit together very well.

Thanks, any advice would be helpful.

(Note, I am not trying to get around spending the money for a new product, I like Privateer Press and I feel they make a wonderful and well priced product. I was just thinking of a few ways I can save some money by using one of the models that will probably not see much play, and turning it into one that would see alot of play.)

I kitbashed a metal savage into a brute using parts from the pp store. basically just did an arm and head swap. It turned out pretty good. Dunno what you would need to do to a plastic savage though.

It's a very good idea, I think, and many of us have done it, so don't worry. You'll rarely ever need 2 Savages and the Brute is a great beast to have.

You'll need the head, shield and right (halberd) arm of the Brute from the PP parts store. And the card too! You will probably be able to keep the left arm as is, with a little cutting/GS work, since it'll be mainly hidden by the shield anyway.

Thanks for the input, I'm just glad I can save some money, and use models that I already have. I'll be ordering the parts soon.

    Again thanks for the input.

P.S. The Cyclops Brute has saved pMorghoul so many times

I turned the savage's sword into a halberd. just use the blade and get sone metal tubing. drill a hole in the (hand drill) botom of the blade. stick a clipped ppaper clip in the hole. glue the tube to the pin you have now made. Viola
do the same to get the savage to hold it. you may have to pin through the hand. If you are halfway decent you can sculpt details onto the bare metal to make it more "weapony"

The biggest issue i had was the shield. I made one out of plastic card and sculpted extre details.
