Jarl with no solos - need advice

This is for a 35pt SR 2012 tournament. Just looking to see if this can do the job at all:

Jarl Skuld, Devil Of Thornwood
Troll Impaler
Dire Troll Bomber
Trollkin Champions (Leader and 4 Grunts)
Trollkin Long Riders (Leader and 4 Grunts)
Horthol, Long Rider Hero

Suggestions?

True, except I would never take Long Riders without him so I always view him as apart of the unit. He is actually pretty good holding down an objective as solos go.

That's true. And for the most part, the list looks pretty good.

For me I would choose Fenns over champs just because they can run in front of the Long riders with the speed buff.
But it looks like a solid list.

If you want to go with Champs, I'd go with 3 Champs + Skaldi over 5 Champs. I think that pathfinder on the charge and Overtake are more valuable than one more Champ. I also prefer melee beasts with Jarl (Earthborne or Mauler), but Bomber is good fun too.

Skaldi is out as he is with Borka in my 3 caster tournament setup. My Fennblades + UA are not painted yet and I wanted completely painted armies for this.

The Heavy is hard because I normally run either Mulg, EBDT or Mauler with Jarl. At 35pts that is almost impossible.

Relentless Charge is nice, but Jarl has Weald Secrets for that and I will most likely have Quicken on one unit and Tactical Supremacy on the other. (all depends of course).

Good list, use the champs to tie down hard target and go for the ranged assassination. A few turns of magic bullet and some aoes from the bomber and all but the highest armor casters will be dead.

I have something similar at 50 points that I've posted on here before. It's pretty nasty. But I don't tend to take a bomber with Jarl. I would do a Mauler or EBDT instead of the bomber, but that's just me.
