Going to be an interesting match for sure. This was probably going to be Gunny's worst match up in the whole Bracket. Would be a shame to see him knocked out after this round. Really though I've been playing other peoples' games so much it won't really effect things much...

Yeah Goris, if you lose it will be that much easier for me to use you as a ringer.

You said it. This was easily going to be my hardest match up, but I kind of saw this coming, I was just banking on that like 1 in 11 chance I simply wouldn't face him :P

Mulg smacks Gunnbjorn's face in! Well that is what Mulg does, especially with Primal and Wild Aggression. And 2 out 3 swings on Gunny would have missed without Primal. Quick game not sure Goris heart was in it. Quick recap:

    Doomshaper goes first runs everything
    Gunny moves up
    turn 2
Doomshaper advances a little to stay out of getting charged and preparing for feat charge next turn.
Gunnbjorn advance to shoot Doomy and misses. 1 Fennblade makes it to Mulg on the mini-feat charge and misses.
    Turn 3
Doomshaper Feats, upkeeps Wild Aggression on Mulg, cast refuge on Mauler, and Primal on both.
Mauler clears 2 fennblades after a few tough rolls succeed and refuges out of the way. Axer kill the Fennblade the Mauler didn't get to due to tough rolls.
Mulg Charges Fennblade in front of Gunnbjorn, tough. Club then kills it. Goad. Buy attack on Gunny at dice +4, Gunny takes 9 dmg. Buy attack on Gunny at dice +4, Gunny transfers 9 dmg to EBDT. Buy attack on Gunny crit slams him into Janissa 3 dice +4, Gunny takes 13 dmg. Game over

Isn't this a Scrum sponsored event? Neither of the Scrummers want to participate in their own event.... seems odd. I understand filling in kinda sucks, especially for that eGrissel list. To be fair to that list tho, Goris is 2-0 with it, so while it isn't optimal it seems to pull itself out of the gutter to win games.

I just think that the people putting on the event should show a little more enthusiasm in wanting the thing to be run smoothly, and run in a good manner. I understand lives get in the way, but come on I think people can set aside a few hours one night every couple of weeks to play a single game over the internet.

I do have to say, it was kind of saddening to see Goris all but give up from the get go in this game.

Every once in a while I am entitled to a break from the madness of this blog. Maybe I phoned this match in a little but to be quite honest it could have just been 4 more hours of me losing slowly like my last game. I did Gunny a service by going 2-2 because no one else thought he was worth a Damn... The recipe is simple here. We drafted multiple people per warlock to ensure we had people for games. We had a limited pool of players and some who felt they were dealt a sub par warlock backed out. I can't shoulder the weight of playing every match with a schedule conflict. I've already filled in twice and it likely won'y be the only times I have to in the future.

You know we are just filling in for folks right? The Warlocks Goris and I ere manning have been eliminated. Plus I think your observation on our competition lacks context as there is a bit of a side conversation going on here.

My desire to watch those that signed up to play smash each other in the face has not changed, which is to say I loves it. Go, Fight, Win...

Super new to the forums. What is this brackets thing/where can I find more information about this? I'd love to be able to watch some of these/compete in these as well. =) Also I agree with Goris. Dude appears to have already covered for a few people besides his own games. Also, I happen to be listening to the ep.11 podcast right now and hearing about how I can make Goris dance like my puppet. LOL maybe I'll buy the $55 and make Goris puppet the eGrissel game for me hahaha.

Dire Brackets are a tab on TBSCRUM (I need to update it) This set is almost over, the next tourney will be in a couple months and be a 'Keep what you kill' tourney.

I agree you deserve to have a break from the blog. However as a host to an event I do think it is in poor taste to want a break from an event you are hosting. These are two very different things.

I do understand that you are filling in for people and that is good. I think the issue that your comment about not wanting to play eGrissel and that list anymore, could have probably been made behind closed doors and not on a public forum is all. It just gives off a bad vibe.

@Blah, I'm not saying don't enjoy your efforts, but as I said above. That should have probably not been said on a public forum. I know the thing is for fun and it is a logistical nightmare to setup and run, so obviously we are thankful for the efforts.

For those of you still watching dire brackets, we're down to our last few games and its getting bloody. Shorly we will have our prizes ready to go. Prizes reminder: we have $50 at Battlefoam, and three $15 coupons to discount games.

@Hatred, I still think you are taking it out of context. We're loving this tourney and are having a blast. The bit about not saying certain things publically is a bit confusing to me since that is exactly what you are doing, so if you'd like to continue with that line please take it to pming us.
