Default Kraye Hit and Run list.

    Good afternoon forum,

Im thinking of running a hit and run style list with Kraye for a few friendly games at my LGS,

    Sofar i have
    Kraye +6
    2x Sentinals 10
    1x Ironclad 7
    Squire 2
    Rangers 5
    Max Trenchers + UA 12
    Trencher Cannon 3
    Trencher Master Gunner 2

I was thinking of running this list at around 35ish pts

Am i on the right track here?

I was planning on having the sentinals run forward first turn then advance spray and fallback staying (hopefully) out of range of any reprisal and the Ironclad helps hunt heavies.

The trenchers dig in and start dishing out as much fire as they can at softer targets while the rangers run around marking targets for the cannon, trenchers and sentinals.

The cannon and the master gunner are pretty self explanitory.

Any advice on this list or experience from those that have used similar?

Trenchers are pretty overpriced and Sentinels overlaps with their "pew pew low pow against infantry role".

With Kraye try instead Hunters for heavy treats removal (maybe drop cannon and master gunner, sentinels for two hunters and a JWC).

Aren't sentinels 4pts? I would take a Reach jack with Kraye.

With the 2 points you 'save' from listing your Sentinels as over-priced, you could upgrade that Ironclad to a Centurion. Full Tilt and you're gold.

... if you're interested in the Trenchers, Kraye may not be your best bet. If you look at your list right now and look very hard, can you find an answer to even moderately armoured models in melee combat? What if a group of heavies comes your way? The Trenchers will be good for one round, but really it's those Sentinels that will be taking care of light infantry along with the Rangers. I'd recommend some form of board control via movement effects (ATGM w UA) Covering Fire (Cyclones) or something like that. The Trenchers are decent (if overpriced) and if you're going that deep into them, you may as well bring Finn(!) and give them +2 RAT/MAT and another 2" of movement so that they're always in idea positions.

... also the Trencher Cannon is a very static element in a very mobile list... maybe reconsider it?

    best,

    I like

    Centurion/Stormclad, 1 Minuteman, 2 Hunters with Kraye

I like at least two heavies with kraye. It's harder to defend against two jack bullet vectors.

I am liking the idea of the Centurian, So i really need to re work this list then...

What would be the a suggested list to run with Kraye then (including the Centurion) with a hit and run theme because im really used to using eCaine and pHaley and have not used many other lists (although i do own all cyg casters just new to this)
