I hate this combo, 9 focus between the two of them, a free unit and mage blight every damned turn!

He took Goreshade, Slayer, deathjack and 6 mechanithralls.

I couldent cope with that qty of infantry in 15 points and I coulden't feat to setup anything.

I didn't stand a chance, i'll be better prepared next time though.

Gorten wins against Eskarre and Goreshade. Damn you Goreshade, mageblight spam > landslide. But one turn when he finaly stopped casting it I went for casterkill having only gorten, blinded blaster and chilled driller. Gorten MVP for killing nightmare all alone, with 3 shots from handcannon, its nice to roll on bothbarrels three times 6' - 34 dmg in your face!

15 point capture the flag last night, Gorten's Rockram, forge guard, rupert, thor and gorman vs eHaley's defender, lancer, black 13th and stormsmith. After Thor was taken out due to dumb placement on my part, I ended up devoting the entire forge guard unit + rhupert to holding my flag against the Black 13th, and Gorten, the Rockram and Gorman manned up and drove straight at the enemy flag. Epic battle ensued, but good use of landslide, blind grenades and a judiciously applied forge father to various kneecaps allowed me to grab one the flag for one round, force him to get too close to contest, and another blind grenade and a sledge cannon and double barrel blast later and Haley was so much mincemeat.

Final thought: if there's nothing else to spend 2 pts on, the Rockram is a worthy upgrade over the Driller. Almost every game I've fielded him now has seen him put a sledge cannon round through the enemy caster.

Gorten took a win against Kreoss last night. Very tough battle with a redeemer crippling my driller and a gunbunny, but he didn't take them out. Thor + basher rounded the flank and then finally slammed in, taking out the redeemer against a crusader. Gorten landslided a crusader into the crippled (only grappler left) driller which finished him off. The crippled gunbunny (only movement left) tied up the remaining revenger. Thor then managed to set Kreoss on fire which subsequently burned him up on the beginning of his next turn.

played Durgen in a tourney today, went 2-1, 3rd place. winning against eSevvy and Skarre, loosing to eGaspy. both my wins involved madhammer gunning down the opponent's caster on feat turn, with an assist from an explosvo'd gun bunny on the skarre asassination.

Resurgence today. Gorten went 3-0 and netted me 2 coins! Smashed pIrusk by scenario in the first round, punished pButcher by scenario in the 2nd round, then emptied a double barrel hand cannon shot into pSevvy's face to end round 3 and the tourney! Much love for the angry little deathjack-killer!

Despite a fever, aches and an epic headache by the end of the day, I went 2-1 at a tourney with Gorten today. The lost match was against Morghoul and I'm still smarting about it; it was mine to win and I had a just stuffed it, left myself insufficiently protected, and so a Bronzeback thumped Gorten.

Second game was against a beautifully painted cryx pAsphyxious list. Clobbered it to pieces and lined up the kill against Asphyxious himself, Gorten readied himself to charge - and then Thor's two gunbunnies blew the lich lord off the table by themselves. Go bunnies.

Final game was against pButcher in a convergence (read: mosh pit, Mk2) game. Gorten + gunmages are not an easy list to beat in a convergence game. Still managed to kill Beast, Berserker, Great Bears, two manhunters, Yuri and a man o' war kovnik before I won by scenario.

EIrusk eats double obliterators after being too cocky and trying to assassinate EMagnus with Bulletdodger and camping two focus at range.
Next game, the same EIrusk party against Bart. My first try with him, and a great game, we grinded ourselves until i was left with Bart and a mariner with no arms, and he had EIrusk and a mortar. We called it a draw.
Not too impressed with Bart. First impression is, he plays like a poor man's pMagnus, with worse spells and better feat.
Also, will try to shy away from renegades with EMags, explore other avenues...

One win, one loss with Gorten against Severius. The win was assassination by pronto:ed basher on turn two (collateral damage for the win!). The loss was a total humiliation after Thor was killed by an ashes to ashes and then the rest of the group was outmanouverd and picked to pieces.
