    Default HandCanonOnline Contents

    Hi all,
The sheer number of hobby articles we have over at Handcanon is becoming a little unwieldy, so I thought I'd try and throw together a contents page for one and all.
If any of the links are broken, or If I've forgotten a hobby article and need to add it to the index, please just post in the thread below and I'll try and fix them.

If you want to contribute to handcannon, either as a guest or as a regular author, or just want to say Hi, please send our editor an email
Click Here to Email Omnus or Mail our hobby content editor - Mercykiller

I've been away for a while, but am back and have finally updated this thread.
    Happy reading

(note: this thread is just our hobby stuff. I'm not including our tactica or other stuff here)

    Cheers
    A.S.

When you list it all in one post like that....it's a crazy amount of stuff in less than 3 years!

Wowwwwwwww... I've seen a lot of those while clicking around Handcannon, but not all at the same time...

And I just want to say thank you all for doing all that. While I was still waiting for my first miniatures in the mail I was already learning a bunch of neat techniques from you, which translated into a better first experience all around!

On a non-humorous note, this is a handy resource for sure. Thanks for compiling it.

There are too many stickies on this forum already. It takes less than a day for a thread to disappear from page 1 meaning unless you go looking at page 2, or check the forum more than once a day, stuff you may wish to see may disappear.

This should be a visible link on the tutorial finder sticky not a sticky in itself.

For that matter, the airbrush resource thread and guts and gears vids should be de stickied and just be a link in the tutorial finder.

Tales of warmahordes is probably a large enough and regularly referenced project to be sticky, but it's debateable.

All this is, of course, my opinion. But I'd rather read other people's new stuff than see that the airbrush thread still exists, or that a blog has 16 videos.

    Cheers

You're right. It make's more sense to consolidate the stickies, and put this one in with the hobby.

People still ask the same questions over and over, regardless of the tutorial thread stickied at the top of this forum anyways.

Agreed - I'm currently working on the best way to combine all of these resources into one place. Each offers a unique collection of work, and we don't want to lose any of them, but we're getting too many separate threads, and need to see about consolidating the works.

I'd rather see these more specialized threads (HCO, Airbrushes, etc) function as Index and Request threads. So, if I have an airbrush question, I go to the sticky to get my link to the airbrush stuff. Then, I peruse the index to see if my question has been addressed. If so, great. If not, or if I'm still not sure, the thread becomes a place for some Q&A, and requests for new tutorials.

While this is true, I get over a dozen hits to my website, daily, from the Tutorial Finder thread. It does get used. The people who you refer to, Ghool, are the same people who never read stickies, the forum ToS, etc. It can't be helped.

great stuff and thanks for the compilations. While i have perused and delved into some of Hand Cannon, never really quite realized the wealth and amount of info put together in such a relatively short time. I pass out links to the tutorial finder as much as i can... and this would be a great addition.

I will. E looking at a better way to organize our site in 2013. I'd love a site redesign but that costs a lot of mullah.

i do plan however to maybe make a sort of landing page / table of contents for our various content areas.

the current layout could never have been planned for such an explosion of amazing content.

and as always we welcome new contributors. Be you a veteran hobbiest or someone who feels they can offer tips and tricks to other new painters.

Simply said, one of my favorite hobby-websites!

And some harsh critique: Please correct the link for the banner on the top of the first post. It's missing a "n".

One of the best, if not the best site for painting tutorials and inspiration to try something new.

I completely missed that one. I was referring to the link hidden behind the image in the first post.
