But this hole in the rules... which had a huge effect on Battlemages

Awesome, battle mages just went way up in utility.
How about a little back story, and what this means.
Thanks

Nice, saves me having to worry about KD preventing the rest of the pull (or push) sequence. I like reliable.
Franz - there was a question whether you could push (or throw) models once they'd been knocked down. They're errata'ing the wording of the knocked down rule to only prevent advancing and being moved by a slam; throws and pushes can still move knocked down models.
Mostly applies to us if we're trying to either pull in a model with battle mages to get clobbered, or push a model away. Now getting the crit KD on force bolt still lets you continue the push/pull with your remaining battle mages.
To be clearer, rules as written. You cannot move knocked down models, this includes movement due to pushes, throws or slams.
This ruling (and pending errata) changes this and allows our mages to push knocked down models.
(you could always of just looked over the thread for the backstory)

You had the RAW argument won (can't push KD models) as soon as the Infernals clarified that the MkI concept of voluntary vs. involuntary movement doesn't exist, thecsharian. I'm glad they errataed it to intent, though. For a unit that spends a lot of its time shoving large models around the board, having a crit stop the process was going to be more of a pain that it was worth.
Yeah seriously... I've always played it that way. Oops![]()
Same with my Druids actually. I was under the understanding (after Prime Remix) that the only thing you really couldn't do to a knockedowned model was to slam it. The way it was worded let you Throw, Push and all that all day. And then I assumed you could still do that. <_<
And stuff.

Anything but slams were legit, I believe, because slams themselves excluded being able to move the knocked down model, while other power attacks had no statement.
Again, I could simply be misremembering ehre. But at least its good to knwo the tactic is legit now. Druids! Go!
(And your Battlemages too, I suppose. <_<)
ANd stuff.
So awesome! So, so awesome!
