I took my Vigilant from primer to fully painted this afternoon, and he's looking rather stellar, by my standards anyway. I also did some more work on the Cinerators, which are moving right along, and scored a second Repenter, Rhupert Carvolo, and a Vassal Mechanik at Gunslinger Games today...only to find out that the tournament at A-kon I'd been furiously painting up a storm for has been cancelled. Well, damn it all. Guess this means that my backlog of Khador is getting some love after I finish those Cinerators and my GF's Harbinger, then!

Even after seeing that eVayl for the second time after seeing her in your own thread, I'm still blown away.

Some people on this forum make me so ashamed of my skill level of painting.

I just finished my pSorcha from the Battlebox - still not satisfied with the face, and it's not even close to the quality of work I've been doing lately. Maybe it's because she's smaller than a Space Marine and lots of fine details. No pics yet - gotta do some touchups and clearcoat it.

Next on deck is to clean up, assemble and paint up the Gorton Grundback battlebox my wife got me the other day.

Just finished these three guys. I'm really happy with the result, both paintwise, but also with regards to modifications I made to the heads of the two in the background.

Tak a look in my cryx log, if you want to see more pictures. You're always welcome

@Drzombieface, dont give up! Everybody has something to offer this hobby, regardless of perceived 'skill'. I'm constantly inspired by my fellow painters, here and in my local group.

And then there's that ^ lol It's so TRUE! Nothing satisfies the same way as crushing a beautifully painted army; rewarding and visually stimulating!

Love those bile thralls, PBartholdy! And by that I mean I would be slightly less miserable when they nuke my whole unit of striders/hex hunters/swordsmen/legionnaires/etc etc. ;-P Cheers!

I've got one of those. It's not all MoW, but they certainly have a large presence in the list.

Tonight I went primered-to-finished on the Renegade. It's the last model I have for my new Magnus lists until I can add a freebooter and Dirty Meg.

Tomorrow will be a Titan Sentry, then after that, I honestly have NO idea.

Hehe, thanks PG_Pzito. I haven't gotten around to use them yet, but I'm looking very much forward to. I heard that they have a fearsome template, but I don't think you have to worry about it reaching all the way from Denmark to Vermont ;P

Had two Cryx wreck markers lying around at home that I rarely use, so I decided to put them to good use today:
Horthol dismounted standing triumphantly over a dead Deathchicken:

And Horthol atop his SuperTuffalo on a dead Slayer, complete with a little Whelp Scrapper taking his tool (it's just a plastic blitzer pygmy with a modified plug for the slugger barrel) to the wrecked jack:

Horthol's pose and demeanor as he's leaping over the wreckage just screams. "Yeah, I did that, whatchoo gonna do about it?"

Also, no pinning. I am a GOD at glue anchors. Can't even see the glue, and he's not wobbly or unbalanced. I even accidentally dropped him on the way to the table to take the picture, nothing broke. /Likeabawss

Thanks man, the BB was just washed, too big and heavy to dip. I sealed it with a gloss varnish then hit it with the dull coat.

dipping works better if you just paint it on like a wash.

painted a full unit of mcthralls + brute and started work on a pair of warwitches and gorman yesterday. lots accomplished!

added some more stuff to Horthol's base(s), finished the rocks and torch for janissa's base (will have pic of it soon)

Janissa's also holding a runestone that has a wisp of flame/energy coming off of it, and with the torch on the base, this will be my first attempt at not only OSL, but OSL from two seperate sources on a single model. And the only OSL I've ever done before have been glowing eyes, so wish me luck. If I pull it off it will be worth it, though.

Hoping to get paint on Horthol and Janissa soon, in addition to finishing the recolor of my Mechanithralls.

Juggernaut is done, clearcoat is done. Tomorrow morning I need to hit it with a matte topcoat and then drybrush the snow and re-gloss the ice axe, gauges and other little details.
Tomorrow I'm expecting a shipment of about 25 models - a half-dozen Forgeguard and Thor to round out my Gorten battlebox, and the makings of a sweet little 15-point WGDS.

Sadly, I probably won't even be here when it all arrives, due to the holiday weekend. Guess I'd better enjoy the time while I can, becauser the new job starts on the 4th.

I Just painted a pair of Kayazy Eliminators. They look exactly like the ones from the forces book, except ****.

1.) Identify and locate the problem.
2.) Bombard the problem with explosives.
3.) Carefully approach the problem, then bull rush it head-on.
4.) Apply axe and/or fist vigorously to the closest face. Repeat as necessary.

    Got this guy done:

Also got the bases sculpted for my Swamp Horror and Bone Swarm. I decided the Horror would look funny on my normal flagstome bases, so I built up the lip on the base to look a bit like a fountain. I'm going to paint it to resemble a shallow pool, as kind of a wink-wink at the fact that my gators are on flagstone like everything else and it doesn't really jive.

The above is my personal opinion, and in no way should be taken as representative of the overall Skorne community. Even when I claim otherwise.

Got some work done on HolyTerrorKitteh's Harbinger of Menoth (or Harby, as we call her), and the whites are already looking better than they were before. Reclaiming the Morrow White after trying to shade with the Ironhull Gray as per the PE paint chart is somewhat of a pain, but it's still better than the first time I painted it for her. Almost done with her, and there will be photos once done.

Damn, when was the last time I updated?!

Had a rare 4 day weekend, so last night was my first night back to painting. Did primer-to-finish on Herne and Jonne for the SPADs (Suicide Prevention Awareness Dwarves) for my buddy Jozell. Tonight was Gudrun the Wanderer and a concept model on a spare Aiyanna I had for his Breast Cancer Awareness Retribution (which doesn't acronym into anything cool) army. She turned out pretty nicely, too.

Tomorrow will be a regular Ogrun Bokur for the SPADs, and then off for Memorial Day! Tuesday will see glowing purple Risen models (19 to be precise) and maybe the three Thrall Warriors as well. But first a lot of drybrushing.

Finished up my bases for the Bone Swarm and Swamp Horror this morning. I got the Swamp Horror about half-way done too, but I won't do any more work on it today to make sure I don't ruin another brush with the glue.

(This was just to test the effect, the upper body got the wash before I glued it down. I really need to get some Water Effects and learn how to use it to make this look right.)

The above is my personal opinion, and in no way should be taken as representative of the overall Skorne community. Even when I claim otherwise.
