Stripped and rebuilt the SPAD bokur today, then to work tonight where I painted 'im up. Looks pretty sweet.

I got a LOT of work done today. Started re-basing my starter box warjacks, those have glue drying as I'm typing this. Finished assembling a Journeyman Warcaster (the female variant), and I have a light wreck model in the priming stage. It has a second coat of primer drying.

I love when I have a lot of things to work on, because I can start working on something while something else is drying.

Finished Wrong Eye, Snapjaw, and Maelok (aka the most annoying mini to paint ever). Will have the bog trogs done tonight, then one last posse maybe tonight, tomorrow for sure than all my gators are done. I'll get pics up when I remember where I put the camera. One day I'll have to go get Caliban if just to have 'em all as I doubt he'll ever get table time.

Tonight I painted 19 glowy purple Risen and 3 glowy purple Thrall Warriors. They're a touch darker over all than I would've liked, but, should I have to tackle them again, I know what needs to be done differently.

Also painted up Holt to match Aiyanna for the Breast Cancer Awareness army (gonna be Retribution ... not sure which 'caster.).

Well, it's 10:30AM, and I'm about to spend the next like four hours working on a box of bane knights, making sure there's no flash or mold lines. Also need to straighten out the curvy axes a touch. Other than that, I might start working on my random Menoth again, but I'll need to find out if I can get a new compressor any time soon.

Finished painting my War Dog, will base it up and clearcoat it tomorrow. I've got a Destroyer that's basecoated and shaded, need to do some highlights and touch-ups. Should be done by the weekend. Then, I need to strip my Gorten Grundback battlebox so I can paint them up in a color scheme tat goes well with my Khador army... and them paint my Death Star!

Got a good bit of work done today; am about 98% finished with HolyTerrorKitteh's Harbinger of Menoth (need to finish the base), I finished up Epic Vlad (though I can tweak the damage on his armor just a little more), tweaked the Greylord Escort's Orgoth staff, laid down flesh tone base coats on the Doom Reavers, and primed mounted Fenris, the Doom Reaver leader (after stripping him), and my newly acquired Totem Hunter. Going to see about doing up said Totem Hunter tomorrow from primed to finished so I can re-calibrate my mind set and get ready to tackle the rest of my Khador backlog...

Just finished this Stormblade, do you like the color scheme?

The armor is metallic with a coat of transparent blue over it, and the cloth is black with light blue trim, if the colors are a little fuzzy.

Guess I was remiss in updating yesterday. I went primer-to-finished on a Blaster for the SPADs and a unit of Gatormen posse (both for the same player).

Today was a shift in gears (as tomorrow will be), as I started working on painting up a Russian tank heavy army for FoW for another commission project. After L&L this weekend, I should have some more skorne to paint up, but today saw 6 T-34 tanks painted to completion and a Russian wreck / objective marker. Tomorrow will be a crap-load of Russian infantry for FoW.

Photos still aren't showing. Make sure you view them all in a separate tab, then copy the image locations. Also realize that Gmail doesn't maintain the image URLs for very long.

I like the paint job! I'm not so much on board with the red wrappings, but he is not mine, so I have no stake in it. I would also add a little more shading to the legs (pants?) to really define the details.

But what I would like to give constructive criticism on the mold lines on the model. I can see them on his feet and right forearm. Some easy trimming should get them taken care of. I'm not sure if they bug you, so if not, leave them. I would say for the rest of the battle box pay attention to them. They can detract from an overall beautiful composition.

But I do really like your model, so please do not think I am criticizing to be a pain

Thank you very much, yeah I noticed them too, and they do bug me a fair amount. I just dont know the best way to get rid of them. I have a file which I use for larger mould lines but it seems cumbersome to get into those fiddly areas. Maybe I need a proper set of files. I chose the red wrappings as I hadnt seen a model with anything similar, most use dull colours for that. I like it, but I understand its not to everyones taste. I definitely need more practise with shading, I wasnt confident enough to do it on the trousers this time, but next mini I do I will give it a proper go.

I did a bunch of small things today and one big thing. Small things: began basing the Totem Hunter, finished the Harbinger of Menoth for HolyTerrorKitteh, finished up the Greylord Escort, and did some work on the Doom Reavers. Big thing: got Destroyer #1 mostly base coated and highlighted, now to add his metals to make them stand out more and to add the copious amounts of dents and scratches and battle damage that are a hallmark of my Khadoran jacks.
