Skorne on date ... when did Primal Mk I hit again?
Started basing the Totem Hunter and the Greylord Escort properly today, and both finished and began basing Destroyer #1 as well. Not too keen on how it turned out, but I've already learned from it and will try something different with the next one. Currently taking a break from the Doom Reavers, who now have armor and swords base coated. More work on them if I can help it!
"Is that gasoline I smell, Mr. Gideon?"
I'm currently putting together my Stormstrider and adding lightning to the hull
its gathering for a single strike and the coils on the back now have the same modeling and I may do the legs the key is doing the parts seperate for me because Im not good enough to paint something like this as one so all the parts will be modeled before painting and assembly have more later!

Repainting my doomreavers..
Somehow they got forgotten halfway-done and then ended up getting scraped against other stuff.. not a pretty sight!
Maybe Il even report back with a picture soon!![]()
finished up paint on my mauler. just gotta seal and add grass.
Finished my trio of Grundback Gunners - clearcoat is drying now. Not my best work but painted to a good tabletop standard.
I had tried to paint the standard Searforge Khaki before, and hated it. So this time, I did them up in a standard Khador color scheme. I like the red/black/brass theme, and they will look good next to my Khador forces.
Working on a Driller myself. Got his armor all painted, going to start work on the metal parts tonight after school.

Continued work on the Driller last night, should be able to finish the model and move on to the base tonight.
Really? OK, damn, I gotta start posting here more often!
Umm ... after I got all the FoW models done, I painted up a mess of soccer player miniatures for some game that got sold off to some company overseas. No chance of playing the game now, I guess, but my friend said to do whatever I wanted for the scheme, so I painted them up in Lymphoma support Lime Green w/ Yellow uniforms. That was a lot of fun.
After that, I stripped and repainted a full unit of Ogrun Assault Corps (finished them last night) and tonight I'm working on 6 of 12 assault Kommandos. I'd hoped to get the first six done tonight, and the last six done tomorrow (my Friday) but I don't think that's gonna work out.
-Ken
Finished up the first 6 AK's and actually got about 90% finished on the last 6 (only have the final wash, and then the final couple of colors before basing and finalizing all 12 models.![]()
I'm thinking Friday will be an alt. Eiryss I have done up to be eEiryss in Alzheimer's Awareness purple.
EDIT: DAMN, 1 minute shy of posting exactly 24 hours apart!
-Ken
Damn you paint fast.
@ DriftWizard: That's a mighty fine looking Cryx battlegroup you have there.
As for my own efforts over the last few days; finished Mordikaar, knocked out the Venator UA, and finished the first Blood Runner. The UA didn't effect my count-down (I forgot to list it) but it's still nice to have them looking like the finished Venators rather than the ones I haven't touched up yet for as often as I field them.

Skorne on date ... when did Primal Mk I hit again?
Today I mistook a can of primer for a can of matte varnish, so I have to put two warlocks, two heavies, a light, and a UA back on the to-paint list.

This is my continued WIP of my warwagon. The rust color is off...but I have not decided if I want to risk ruining the model by fixing it, or learn to like it.

Ugh. I can't imagine the level of FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU! I would be at if that happened to me.
Tonight I did primer to finished on an alt. eEiryss sculpt in Alzheimer's Awareness purple (with bone/ivory colored armor) and a Totem Hunter commission. Both turned out pretty good, I think.
Also started work on eAsphixious for a friend's Cryx, and will likely finish that tomorrow. Not sure what the rest of the day or weekend will bring, but I should have some skorne coming my way soon.

Not all of them painted today, but now my Farrow are ready to rumble

These guys were among the first things I bought and I finally managed to paint them.

It's a self-confessed overzealous Menite, it's about time I started on my Zealots. Did up a test for my scheme.

Completely forgot to mention how the other day I made a healthy amount of progress on my Doom Reavers! Their flesh tones are done, the wrappings are based and washed , as is their hair, the swords are well underway, the heads on their belts are done...the devil really is in the details with these guys. Hoping to finally get them done soon so that I can do up the King Daddy Doom Reaver to accompany them!
"Is that gasoline I smell, Mr. Gideon?"
As a post script to my tail of woe; I managed to get everything either repaired or repainted where it was just too bad, went to varnish them before anything else could happen ... just as the humidity started to spike.
The varnish beaded on the surface a bit, it's not really visible outside of the bases. I've never had varnish do that before, I can feel it when I touch the models. If they actually looked frosted I'm not sure what I'd have done. Probably had a "G-d, why do you hate my trains?" moment.
Also; finished my Blood Runners this morning.

Got something around 50 - 60% finished on a gun carriage tonight, will hopefully finish it up tomorrow. I have most of the secondary colors laid down, but I've got washes and primary and tertiary colors left yet, so we will see.
You know, I have painted three battle engines so far, and have the skorne one ahead of me most likely, and not a single frackin' one has been for me!
-Ken
Are you painting for profit, or just doing favors?
(I got my SA put together last night, there is a ton of detail on that thing. I get to start painting it tomorrow.)

Skorne on date ... when did Primal Mk I hit again?
It depends on the situation. The Cryx project I have is for discount on purchases of product (about 50% off), the skorne project is a large project that I've cut a much deeper discount on than I really should have, the project for Jozell is favor/trade based, and the Khador project is for my Brother-in-Law. So, the commission projects I have actually bring in far less than they probably should, but as I'm able to paint at work, I'm pretty much just always looking out for stuff to paint to keep me busy. So far I've stripped and repainted two of my own armies.
-Ken
Wow, nothing from anyone for nearly 24 hours?
All right, well, tonight I finished the Gun Carriage (sans snow basing, which will be done tonight at home - it's messy). It looks pretty durn good, honestly. I still really like my bro-in-law's color scheme. It adapts well to several different unit types.
Over my next three days off, I'll work on assembling and prepping the Grind Models for a friend and painting them up (one in Packer's colors, one in Viking's colors) when I return to work on Friday. Removable arms ... really??!
Also, in a random note, some anonymous stranger texted me a picture of his junk tonight. He really needs to double check his digits (and stop taking pics when it's cold!)!
