Since I'd decided to expand my Searforge into "General Mercenaries" forces, embracing all of the contracts, I dug out a whole bunch of Merc. models I'd gotten long ago on the cheap, but had never really had much of a use for. Most of it was already painted, but some of it wasn't.

So today I painted up:

Mangus
Mangler
Renegade

Tomorrow I plan on working on the bases and doing touch-ups of the rest of the figs, making sure they're looking ok as well, so they can join in with everyone else.

Finished dry brushing and matte sealing a friend's Beast-09 today, with a scheme he and I both agreed on; it resembles a rusted old battleship with lots of filth from coal smoke on the pipes. I will try to post pics of it if I can, as I'm not sure how to do so on here yet. Also am dry brushing and washing another friend's Trollblood Pyg Bushwhackers as we speak.

Finished Slaughterborn, complete with front arc. He ate a half a Rhulic army by himself today, so he deserved it.

Cleaned up the base coat on my pGaspy and painted the soul cages. He's almost done, but I'd spent lke an hour...

...Repositioning my Leviathan. I was sick of him hanging off his base, and he's really been pulling his weight lately, so I gave him a more heroic, gunslinger kinda pose. Now if I could only find his headplate...

Ok, technically it was yesterday and not today, but I still wanted to type it.

Painted the bases for the rest of my Mercenary force that I needed to re-do from other colors.

So I did:

Ashlynn
eMagnus
Reinholdt
Boomhowler full unit
Steelhead halberdiers full unit

I've also never been happy with how I originally posed my Vanguard. It was all hunched over with it's arms flailing to the side, since the halberd and shield are so tall.

So I cracked him all apart, despite really liking the paint job on him. I bent and stretched the legs so they're much taller than the original "crouched down" pose they were in. I then put him back together, tilting the torso up a little more as well to help make him taller. He looks much better now.

I was thinking I wouldn't be able to get around to painting him, though. But a break in the weather allowed me a short window to spray-base him over again. And lo and behold, I got him finished up. Even with a paint job basically equivalent to the one he'd originally had! Yay!

So now, I'm very definately done painting figs until I buy some new ones.

Well it was actually over the weekend, but I got a bit of stuff done on my trolls! I assembled, green stuffed and primed my Extreme Mauler, so he's ready to get some paint slapped on him. I also busted out Grissel. She isn't quite done (needs basing and painted hair) but I really like how she turned out so I thought I'd share and this seemed like a good place to do it.




I also got the skin done on my Borka. He and the Keg carrier are next up on my painting list. More to come!

only got into WM a couple of weeks ago and went out at weekend and brought Gorten Grundback battlebox.
Assembled and undercoated and started painting Gorten today,sorry no picture yet,but looking good so far.

Did pre-assembly on a whole bunch of figures. Cleaned some mold-lines, flash, base inserts, did filing, etc. of 2 Warlocks, 2 light warbeasts, a medium based character, and a full support unit. Also washed them with soap and water and then rinsed them off and dried them... took some 3 hours, all in all :-/

"Highlights":
-pThagrosh got some really tiny back-spines. Also couldn't manage to drill into one of his horns, which I hope will hold...
-I have no idea whatsoever where two of the Totem Hunter's three spikes go.
-The Farrow Bone Grinders' base-slots, those who have one for each leg are too big for a small base, and one has to be taken off. Either they were meant for medium bases or this is the price to pay for having a single part model... annoying.
-eLylyth had flash on her face, obliterating her few facial features. Sent an email to the Front Desk, do they send you an email reply? This means no eLyl for now.
-Nephilim Soldier, I nearly howled. How could the hands just don't fit? I'm going to need a fair amount of green stuff (huge gaps) in both parts... and if I want just one, I'm going to have to carve him a full inch or so... this is just bad. I spent 20 minutes trying to dry-fit it in some "Better" manner.

Assembled 2 Warlocks, 1 support unit, 1 character solo, 2 light warbeasts. Heavy green-stuffing of the Nephilim Soldier arms, found where the spikes go on the Totem Hunter (arm-guard), and had to use tweezers to get pThagrosh's smallest back-spike into place.

Teraph's head remains unassembled until I could prime and paint the inside of the mouth before gluing it on.

I did my hilight on the leathers on my borka, and did the green cloth base and hilight. I really like how he's turning out, very muted. Very different from what I usually do, just kinda happened haha. I'm hoping to finish him and the keg tomorrow!

I got my 6 Flame Guard Cleansers painted today.

They almost finish my 35 point list for the league. SO in the last week I painted 2 crusaders, 2 redemers, 9 delivers (lost one or it would be 10), and the 6 cleansers. Just need to do my sunburst and crew and they will be all done.

EDIT: Well seeing that I only have 3 models left to paint I got them done today also. But now that all the other stuff got painted this week I am going to repaint Kreoss so everything has a new paint job for the League.

Whew. Cankerworm is done. I can't say I'm happy with the outcome, but he's finally painted after a full year of owning him. Bane Thralls are next. I got most of the colors fleshed out, just need to finish up the details. Shouldn't take more than half a sitting.

I also went front arc crazy this time. Fear the pink breast cancer... fear the pink...

Pinned Captain Kara Sloan's body back onto her feet and base. I was painting her intently at my friend's house at their kitchen table, when their #*&%ing cat jumped quickly up onto my lap and dug her nails into my leg. It was so sudden it scared the hell out of me, and I jumped, which made the dug in nails rip my skin more and sending Kara FLYING, SERIOUSLY flying, across the kitchen. She landed and bent her whole body at the ankle in half. I was so furious. But on the bright side, her ankles are now very sturdy.

Also today, the same cat clawed my nose and made it bleed for twenty minutes. It had been nice to me all day, letting me pick her up and pet her and play. Then when I was about to leave, I picked her up to pet her on the head, she left two quarter inch cuts on my nose.

I hate that cat.

Thanks guys. Im glad you guys like it. Our local store had a project where everyone made their own objective marker. We all went in and made a bits order together. (Cheaper to split the shipping cost)
