Finished Ravyn and Narn, including the basing decoration, and started the soulless.

I painted the little girl for Nightmare's base.
Oh, I guess I also put down most of the base colours for my Gnarlhorn (sadly, some paints are missing so I have to pick up the others I need tomorrow) and did most of Nightmare's base, which is a Dragon Force resin one with the brick street to match the little pedestal. I need to get some rust on the chain and gear and paint the outer ring of the base and then attach the scared little girl to finish it.
Notably, Nightmare doesn't have a single drop of paint on him yet. I, uh, don't know why. However, his right opposable claw has fallen off and I can't find it. This is driving me nuts.
For love. For honor. For Devilsquid.
Stupid Blackbane's......
Hopefully going to finish them up, and get a Leviathan done tonight. It's a tall order, but I have a lot to get done in a VERY short amount of time.
Cryx - 65% Painted Cygnar - 0% Painted Retribution - 45% Painted
Got my Gnarlhorn pretty far along today. Well, far along for me. All his base colours are down (minus bone on his horns and hooves since I'm missing my bone paint for some reason...getting tired of missing paints). My matte medium for the ink/paint mixture went bad sadly. So the mixture to go into his armour plates has to wait until tomorrow. And I had wanted to have him painted before I field him for the first time tomorrow. I might change up my planned list to field some Baldur love just because of this so I can finish him before next week!
Nightmare's base is now finished as well minus the front arc painting which will have to wait until I paint him up and am ready to afix him to the base so I can get it precise. I also need painters tape since I can't paint a straight line to save my life. But man, the little girl looks great on the dark base, being painted in mostly bright colours to stand out against it. And of course, oh so terrified.
For love. For honor. For Devilsquid.
Finished up my Vanquisher warjack yesterday, with sort of a "reverse gallery" paint scheme. I'm new at this hobby, so I feel pretty good about him.

based coated eirusk
Almost done with the soulless, he's going quick. Glued together Rahn.
Put together my first PP models! Yay!
Now on to the painting!
Nearly finished my swamp gobbos last night, maybe I'll finish them today. Painted the inside of a Teraph's mouth, glued the head on, removed an arm that was in a bad location and will paint it and the body obscured by it before assembling, put some stuff in acetone, assembled my last Strider (was in acetone) again, assembled a blighted troll I received from a friend.

Playing: Skorne, Legion.
Exact statistics with the Troll Calculator in this thread.
Finished Thor Steinhammer. In the stripping tub are Karchev, Battle Mechaniks, and full unit of Kossite Woodsmen. On the painting table are minimum unit of Kayazy Assassins, their Underboss, and the War Dog. All on commission work.

Words fail us.
Yesterday I painted up:
Rhupert Corvolo
Taryn Di La Rovisi
First Mate Hawk
Harlan Versh
None of them turned out spectacular, but I don't think any of them look bad. I'm having to trudge through all of these solos that I'd picked up in my last PG order.
Solos tend to be the "odd ones out" when it comes to painting. You can't really "Assembly Line" them like you can units, and they're not such a "focal point of the army" like Warcasters are, yet they've got (generally) a lot more small detail and "fiddly bits" to pick out than a Warjack.
I've still got 5 more to do, too.

Got pretty far on Rahn, but now I have a lot of ivory armor to do. (also did some roleplaying fig work)
finished eirusk after a quick repair on the flag/hand.
I'm brand new to wargaming so I just bought a bunch of stuff recently... was a little nervous about having to glue the pieces together, but it was a lot more fun than I thought! The quick JB weld seems to work wonders on bigger parts and just superglue for little parts.
Anyway, yesterday I put together my first ever models. I got Caine, an Ironclad, a Hunter, Arlan Strangewayes, and a unit of gun mages all put together and on their bases.
Oh that's right I also got a Juggernaut put together... bought a battlebox of Khador just to get my friends to play and possibly get interested.
Can't wait to start painting them... now that I have done a little bit of before.
Finished up a full unit of Trollblood Longriders this afternoon. Now on to some Trollblood beasts.
Oh, yeah, and I assembled, primed, and laid down a few basecoats on my Cinerators.
RIP Matthew Randy, aka Invader Larb. 1977-2010
Filled out my Forge Guard to a full 10-man unit and touched up the old ones. Everyone has new basing as well, a mixture of fine ballast, medium ballast, and coal flakes all with patches of static grass on top.
Trollkin Champs got their skin and faces painted. The rest of their paint job looks pretty easy, just lots of armor.
Victor Pendrake is 75% finished as well.

Finished painting beast form Kromac...and even though I painted human form Kromac eight months ago the colors match perfectly![]()
Did my first bit of painting since the mid-90s.
Started putting base red on my Khador starter battle box units.
Fun stuff.
Started painting the ivory armor for Rahn. Man, it's hard to get coverage with ivory over black basecoat, I think I'm going to struggle with the scheme.
In my tradition, I didn't actually paint them today, but over the past two days.
But anyway,
Monday:
Doc Killingsworth
Bloody Bradigan
Eiryss
Rutger Shaw
Tuesday:
Dirty Meg
Freebooter (named Dio)
This completes all of the Mercenary figures I own! Woo!
I now have only a Deliverer Sunburst and a Widowmaker Marskman left.
Maybe I'll do at least the Sunburst on Sunday. Seems fitting.

"Average Dice", Biggest myth in gaming.
Finished the red base and highlighting on a unit of Beast Handlers.
I spent longer than I otherwise would because these chaps find their way into almost every list I make.
Try laying down a layer of light brown or tan first, then move to white layers. It should improve your coverage a lot.
Started some custom water bases for my Retribution army I'm starting up. I'm going to fill in the water parts tomorrow.

Oh those bases look great so far OnTheLam... be sure to post after the water is added... I'd like to see that.
Well, I painted my very first warmachine figures yesterday... 2009 Caine and Rienholdt. Actually I did the gobber first just to make sure the brown was going to turn out right since the test non-warmachine model I did to test my color scheme didn't use any brown. Anyway... they turned out pretty good... at least for a newbie. I'll have to post pictures tonight.
