Finished plasti-Kreoss and Repenter tonight at work, and based the entire Battlegroup. They're all finally finished and well in advance of the Tournament! Admittedly, it's not my best work, but I learned a lot about how to best paint yellow, though.

What little time I'll be at work tomorrow and Friday will be spent painting up the Deathjack!

Did rather a lot today, multitasking between no less than three projects and finished one at last! The Exemplar Bastions are done at last and hoping to get some pics on here before tonight is out, the Phink Phoenix is looking better and better (added the lighter base coat of Murderous Magenta & Carnal Pink and did the metallic bits in Pig Iron + Blue & Turquoise ink), and I got Naaresh attached (glued/pinned) to his base as well as primed. Now to tuck into my Thanksgiving feast of chicken & dumplings made by yours truly!

*mutter mutter* Something something turkey coma. Something something fell swords mocking me. Made headway on my Doom Reavers, assembled the last few, metal/skin basecoats on the rest. Leathers, then shading comes tomorrow after basecoating the stragglers.

Well, short nights at work the last two night (7 hours total) and an unusually busy night at work tonight, got me just a little headway on the Deathjack. I've put down the two primary colors Brass and Greatcoat Grey w/ Devlan Mud washes), and the two "mechanika" colors (Pig Iron and Bronze on all the steam and "infrastructure"). Left it all at work as my weekends rarely afford me painting time at home. Hopefully a full day on Monday will give me the time to get the other colors laid on, the last few washes, and then my DJ will be complete!

I got some more work done on the Phink Phoenix (you are inspiring me with how to highlight it properly, Drachenfels!), and got some blocking out off armor and metal things on Naaresh today. Also scored at a Black Friday sale at my LGS--big ups to Gunslinger Games here in Dallas--the Khador battle box, Kommander Strakhov, and a Vassal of Menoth. Building up a good number of things to work on when my friends' minis are done!

Well at least someone is finding it helpful, thats why i took so many pics and made so many posts in my thread.

Today I did a lot of work on my Cryx stuff to get the 2 battleboxes so i could apply for pressganger, and i got the cryx "battlebox" (more a bodge of various of the right models) allong with getting some base metals on terminus, and powering through most of my Wraith Engine

I know my paintings are kinda boring and I do not have special skills, but I still like painting.

Now I am working on with my Dawnguard Sentinels... (finally 'cause I got these in last summer and they have just collect some dust until this week I get inspiration to paint sentinels.)

@ drachenfels: Love the pink on the Khador, that turned out very nice. The transitions between the shades of green on the Cryx are a little abrupt, but I'm sure it looks better at table-top distance. It's always hard to tell how much is the camera and lighting and how much is the actual paint over the interweb; I know every little flaw jumps out at me when I take pictures of my stuff.

@Seraphi: The orange on gray is very striking on your retribution, the fades are well done. I'd probably steal it if it wasn't so close to my Skorne (and if I was painting Ret, which I am not nor do I have any intention of starting).

Finished another Acuarii myself; one more to go, then it's just EHexi and Strum und Drang betweem me and fully painted.

edit: also primed a koldun lord and a gun carriage for a commission.

Well, Zelda Skyward Sword has been kind of ruling my life as of late, but I have managed to finish up Rahn, Sylys and a Scyir. I made my first attempts at OSL on Rahn and Sylys, and I have to say that I'm less than pleased with my results. Like most things, though, practice makes perfection, so I'll keep practicing.

You've got the right idea but you need to make your paint for the glow a lot thinner. You'll want that to go on as a glaze onto your already painted surface that way the color of that surface still shows through. You want the paint really watery, load up your brush, blot the excess on a papertowel then gently sweep the side of your brush over the surface. You should get a little bit of color left on the surface your brush just ran across. You can also cut the paint mixture with water and mixing medium if you aren't comfortable thinning with water only.

The method described above is how I've done the glow on Gallow's Grove, eBaldur and any other minis with glowy bits.

Shop in town finally got some blue spray paint in (tired of painting 50% of my model blue :P) so I had a spray session. All my bare metal models were given basing in rocks, gravel and sand, and then sprayed:

* Storm lances
* Gun Mages + UA
* Runewood (just got him

)
* eNemo
* Stormclad #2 (should post a picture of this conversion)
* Hunter
* Charger / firefly (magnetized)
* Thorn
* Storm strider

Some painted models got clear coat:

* Laddermore
* Junior
* Squire
* Arlan
* B13
* Ironclad chassis multi-kit (all three jacks magnetized)
* Charger
* Lancer

Now I'm excited to paint my Storm Strider!

I got the new Grissel yesterday, assembled and primed her last night, base colours went on today. Also discovered that I, for some strange reason, am missing 2 Kriel Warriors and 2 Long Gunners to make legal full-sized units. I'm not sure WHY I am missing 2 of each of these, but I am. I must have only bought 1 extra blister of each when I purchased the units some years ago. Still strange I hadn't caught it until now.

They are assembled and primed, going to take my time with Grissel before I tackle these buggers.

Posted WIP pics of the Phink Phoenix in a separate thread, and it's looking mighty good, minor tweaks aside (I HATE when the camera picks up things your eye misses). Also did a lot of work on Master Ascetic Naaresh as well today--my holiday painting jobs are nearly done already! Did flesh tones, armor, all blades, and Skorne skirt from base coats to highlights, and washes as well. Looking at this first attempt at the traditional Skorne scheme I've tried in over a year, it amazes me how my skills have progressed from that time. I haz a happy!

Today I finished Eiryss Mage Hunter of Ios. I am currently working on epic Magnus

In the past I painted over 278pts of Cygnar and most of the warcasters, as well as prime magnus, a Vanguard and 20 Risen w/alexia ciannor and a thrall. I have about 30pts of skorne painted and circle.

I keep forgetting to post from Work.

Monday saw me wrapping up work on the Deathjack. It turned out awesome!!

Tuesday saw Drago about 99% completed

Wednesday finished up Drago (just needed to paint his skull necklace) and completed a Berserker (start to finish).

Thursday got the Wraith Engine about 75% finished. Should be able to finish him tonight at work for my last night of the week.
