My thought is to keep the spawning vessel behind the archers and replase my losses with shredders.

Hm, I prefer Typhon over second Carnivean and Striders + UA over Archers. So if you leave out the Vessel and one shepherd you could play:

the stryders are ok but I perfer the double shot the archers get combined with manifest destiny.
