    Default My First Gaming Table!

I've pretty much finished up my first ever gaming table. Followed most of the instructions in No Quarter #45 with a few of my own flares. In the photos the flowered area of the field is slightly blurry, but it really looks good in person.

Anyone have any tips for sealing the turf down well enough for some heavy gaming? My current plan is to seal it down with a layer or two of the Scenic Cement, and then maybe a layer or two of a Matt Lacquer Finish.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

That looks pretty fine. Very much in keepin with the NQ board.

I imagine most people will suggest a spray/misting of some setting agent as you suggest. Probably some variants of watered down matte medium/scenic cement/PVA glue.

Also you should see if you can ask a moderator to move this thread over to the terrain and table building forum. They are just as friendly as over here in painting, but even more likely to be able to offer a variety of good advice on table building.

Once again, nice job and welcome to the forums.

    Cheers

Nice job! You can spray a pva/water mixture with a flower mister thingy. I don't know what they're called in english, but you can probably figure it out. It's what I used to seal the static grass on my table with.

Thanks. I was up really late when I posted this and I simply didn't see the proper forum. I've asked the mods to move it for me. The glue I used to flock it was PVA glue, and that's what I intend to put down to seal it.
