Default Drake's Animus - Getting Bushwhack after combat action

    Quick question here:

If a Skorne warlock killed something in melee BEFORE using the Drake's animus on itself, would it then be able to use the animus on itself and advance away into the happy sunset?

    Thanks.

No he would not. You have to cast animus before making the attack to get Bushwhack. If you don't have it cast on your warlock you follow normal rules so first move than action.

At this time the warlock already is past his movement (having either forfeited his movement or just not moved) and cannot use Bushwhack.
