Default a jack into a jack

the rules clearly indicate what happens if a jack collides with an obstacle(the moving jack is knocked down). they also clearly indicate what happens when the grinder collides with a jack (the jack hit is knocked down).

what happens when a jack is hit and moved so that it collides with another jack?

    page number for reference please.

A2. Will a Jack be knocked down if it collides with another Jack? No. It's movement will just cease with no other effect, per PPS_Mike.

I don't believe there is a specific "nothing happens" page reference, it's just that since the rulebook doesn't specifically state that anything happens, then nothing does.

As an aside, someone might want to repost that thread, since no-one can edit it, and correct all the links so they point back to the old forums, rather than non-existent topics in the new ones (or worse, later on when there's more topics here, erroneous ones!).

So far the only reference to anything happening when two steamjacks collide is if you are using the XGL rules, where you can upgrade 'jack arms to have better effects. You can upgrade a (Blue only) Crusher's heavy fist to make a "tackle" power attack.

    Tackle:

Must begin activation not adjacent to the target steamjack. After moving the hit steamjack, move this steamjack along the same path ending adjacent to the hit steamjack (ignoring blocks during this movement). The hit steamjack and this steamjack are both knocked down.

There's even an XGL power attack where you can use a heavy grapper to "fling" another jack or grinder several spaces, and they make no mention of what happens when two jack's collide.

So otherwise, I had always figured (and this is backed up in the FAQ), that two colliding 'jacks simply clang into each other and stop, much like if a Grinder hits a pillar. I figure this is due to two things: keeping the rules simpl(er), and to focus such abilities that could move 'jacks (like each team's two grappler arms) towards affecting the grinder instead.

After some thinking you could always make a house rule that in a collision between two steamjacks, the steamjack with the lesser armor is knocked down. So slamming a Crusher into a runner would knock the Runner down (Arm 4 vs Arm 2), or the other way around, you could bounce a Runner off of a Crusher to knock it down.

Already noted. Also there will need to be a section for league rules too.

Haven't seen BG posting in a while so I'll see what I can do.
