I can understand having that all painted would be neat and all, but, I've got almost 500 points of Cryx, and I barely even use 1/5 of it on a regular basis. You've got around twice that. You'd have to play Unbound games every day to get use out of all of it. Can't say I'm not impressed though.

Sorry it has been so long since a meaningful update. I am in Houston visiting family after a few days in New Orleans on a work trip for the wife. If you guys get the chance there are a couple of cool shops in the Big Easy. Both are really friendly. Unfortunatly I missed out on meeting any of the gamers over at Plus1 games. I did get to game some with the owner and a PG over at Go4Games.

I will try and get a tutorial done up on how I did my clear resin Spider Strider spheres.. though it is identical to the already perfectly done tutorial on the Vessel of Judgement LED base.

I am basically a stay at home dad now so that makes finding time to paint a little easier. If you stop watching TV, endlessly surfing the interwebz, going out to eat and spend your evenings talking with the family while painting you might be supprised with how much you can paint in a year. This year I hope to get a lot of my stuff done. O add in an airbrush as well and stuff starts to really move.

I decided to push this little mod out for Gallant. Saw this done here and decided to do it as well myself. Mine is only freehand though. Props to Wolf Master for GS'ing his out. It was a pretty simple thing to do as well. Dremel and paint time all together was about an hour.

The yearly army pic is something I have started to dread somewhat. Taking everything out then putting it all up. This year I dropped the entire army (unpainted models as well) and it was much more palatable. It has also become the best time I can think of to fix all the little bits that come off during the year that just never seem to get glued back on right away. This year it was the Stormblade leaders weapon and the one leg touching the ground Stormlance. Couple of pins later and all is back to the way it should be.

Looking back at all these models I can see the improvement over the years in my painting skills... or lack there of. Since I am not the best player out there it is kinda cool to be known for the army. 99% of the time I pull models out at a new shop people recognize them..... now to figure out if that is a good thing or not.

I love your work Ag, and you honestly inspired me to get going on painting my Khador. and turns out i am really good. i have have only painted a hand full of models and i am doing top of the tier for Tabletop quality. Blending, Shading and highlighting is all that seperate me from Pros. my attention for details, OCD, and stuborn nature means that when i sit down and paint, i sit down and paint. I officially moved to being a local commissioned painter this week. i am working on my FLGS owner's Cryx. i touched up his min unit of Bane thralls that were terribly painted. i also painted his Bane Thrall UA and have the other 4 of his Bane unit on my desk. i plan on finishing them over the weekend. then Tartersauce... and i may break from his to finish my Khador i have here and then go back to his. after those ill be waiting to paint until I start my Journeyman League in June.

Something else holding back my Quality is good brushes. some P3 hobby Brushes are in the near future as well as a Raphael 8404 #0 for Facial detailing. depending on how the P3 hobby fine works for me.

That is one of the best complements possible. Congrats on getting commission work as well. I am not sure where I fall on the "painting scale". I think it is much safer to let others judge your work than to label it yourself.... unless you are Ghool... or Meg... or..... yeah there are some really really good painters out there... you guys can call your work what ever you want just post pics for us to see. I do kind of chuckle at some of the "pro" work out there.
