I was pondering the state of Hordes mark 2, and it seems as though we may get a batch of models not dissimilar from the warmachine grouping:
caster, 2 beasts, 2-3 units, a wa/ua or two, and a handful of solo's.
The pattern also seems to be filling out where 'theme' armies lacked models: filling out 'trencher' lines, an errant UA and solo, love for assault commando's. Heck, even stormsmith artillery. Between that and the retribution book (Mittens forces, houseguard being well developed, anti-mage strike forces), it seems that the good folks at PP are trying to make 'pure' armies at least somewhat flexible.
What might we see?
We have warmongers, warspears and the warchief to make the ogrun list a full one.
Striders have a UA and a solo. Could we see melee striders, or would raptors be considered a further part of that army, being fast, light cav, capable of scouting?
Swordsmen and archers seem to pair up as 'standard blighted nyss' forces, but neither has a solo to really apply to its 'army' theme. Could we see a swordsman grandmaster? I think a solo archer would be stepping on the deathstalkers toes.
But that, plus a 'beasts' theme, is still only 3 or 4! What do you fine disciples of the dragon think?
