    Default Alexia

We all know she took a preaty big and well earned hit when we switched to mk2 a while back , Even though she no longer ingores focus , can now be targeted with spells , has a nerfed raise dead and area to pull corpses from ,no longs buffs her undead , lost mob , cant make make a unit forfit movement and lost her damage spell among other changes i think i missed , shes still a good piece. That says alot about her , though for everyone that has played or read the witchfire trilogy knows they striped out all her primary abilities. They should change the weapon on her card to greatsword instead of witchfire.

Out of the four games ive played recently she has 1.5 caster kills. A solo kill on morghoul and left esorcha at 5hp. Do you guys use her as much as me and have you found her just as useful. I usually charge the cast sacing risen as I got to get the kill. in mk1 it was easier because of ignoring focus but I can still pull it off with good timing in mk2.

I really like this model and I use her in my army. I have to say that I have not taken advantage of her as a caster killer though. I tended to use her when the troopers clog up. I take advantage of the spawns and send thralls in to do a little dmg. I have always played her a bit safe and that my opponent spends a lot of resources to try to get rid of her.

That being said I saw the new card and noticed the double focus thing. This seems like it could be very powerful if used correctly and truly limit what a caster can do. Especially upfront type casters who are now paying double for their spells.

I really like Alexia's sculpt. Yes, she did lose most of her other nastiness, but I do think she's a little more balanced. I wiped out all the risen on Feora's feat turn for me, but having her against me sucked. It was a tough battle. She killed Vilmon. All sorts of nasty stuff.

Now that I have a Four Star Syndicate list, she's a strong candidate for purchase here soon. I don't mind her abilities changing, she can still be a bugger to deal with, and yes with Death Magic she can soak up a lot of damage and cause a drastic pull in resources from the othe player to take her out.

Arcane Disjunction is Kreoss' Lamentation spell. Having that can boondoggle a ton of plans, especially because Vlad could no longer cast Blood of Kings or Signs and Portents. I'm sure that must infuriate him (and rightfully so).

Crafting thralls. Is there any limit to thralls that can be on the table? I don't see anything but I could be missing something. Also, why don't people craft more thralls? I would be working from turn 1 to turn at least half of my risen into thralls. Solo weapon masters rock! Yeah craft Thrall, charge him in and do 4d6+10 and let him die. Whatever he charged at should give Alexia more Risen... Kinda crazy...

I have lots of little ideas for this unit.

Play her in a steelhead army and watch your opponent swear.

In MKI, i was expressly forbidden by my gaming group to run Alexia in my Steelhead Army. You'd think 30 Steelheads would be enough with her.

What is it that gets makes Alexia indomitable with steelheads?

The part where all thirty of them come back?

She's still good. I didn't play her a whole lot in MK I, and I still don't, but she's always making trouble when she's on the table.

If I had to guess, the fact she can turn 30 relatively cheap yet effective infantry into the same number of undead minions when they croak.

    Just a guess though.

I'm still not happy with her MKII version.

Mostly because the Risen don't actually do anything anymore. Without being able to buff them, and having to wait until your next turn to place them, they've really lost their effectiveness.

I've always hated both Alexia's model (too huge), and the Risen models (too lame looking), so never used her much, despite owning a maxed out unit. Now that I have my proxy models all situated - that far superior rpg model, plus some GW skeletons for Risen - my opponents will be seeing a lot more of them.
